Meeting a Kryptonian God? That actually sounds pretty interesting.

This looks amazing. Last issue was one of my favorites of the month. Can't wait for this.

@aros001: Not the first time mind you... he did meet Cythonna who is a dark god of Kryptons pantheon. Though I do agree, this does look interesting now.

@nightfang: I am not sure if I live it, but I do not love it as I am constantly told he is the greatest man who cares for all life but then says stuff like that. Then again maybe I do love it as it makes that argument all the more amusing.

I find it weird that he would bow down to a god he doesn't really have a connection with considering he grew up on Earth. Not to mention the fact that he dates a god and sees god as being no better than anyone else.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out with his Earth upbringing and his personal views. This is one of those creativity over continuity books, so expect anything lol

They're making Superman into a completely obvious Jesus archetype. This will certainly be interesting. I'll be picking this up.

I kinda want Rao, who I'm guessing is the Kryptonian sun god, to fight Apollo.

The Manapul variant would be perfect if Wonder Woman didn't look like she ate too much burritos.

So? This story has a powered Superman and Bruce Wayne as Batman. This is obviously not taking place in current continuity. Maybe Apollo is alive at this point in the timeline.

I can't say N52 made made justice any of their "gods". Greek pantheon looked like a bunch of (pick either) mutants or inhumans though.

I liked it. Made them seem much more appropriate for their godhoods.

Isn't Wonder Woman said to be the God of War? Would be hard to make it take place then seeing as he died just right after.

@reactor: Well, back in the Pre-52, Rao had few appearances but one of the few time we saw him, he was talking with the Endless on friendly terms (not sure if that comic was canon). Cythonna was actually pretty powerful as well.

I don't like the sounds of that, Superman always had more similarities to Moses anyway and the Christian religious similarities are thematic at best, especially since Superman isn't really comparable to a Jesus archetype these days.
