I love Deodatos' art. Definitely getting this first issue and crossing my fingers for Bendis to come through.

Really don't want to pick up yet another Secret Wars series, but damn, that Deodato art is gorgeous.

As I've said it many time here and elsewhere in the net, I'd buy this just for the sake of art.

Good story and Bendy pulling himself from his bender would ofc. be a bonus.

That art is so good it isn't even funny.

Deodato is a great fit for a cyberpunk style series also hey look at you Bendis actually writing Drax in character for a change.

Man, this looks really great. I'll check out the first issue and go from there. The series I've picked up from Secret Wars have all been great so hopefully this one will be great as well.

Won't lie....I'm getting this for Deodato's art. I wish he drew a book on a regular basis.

I wonder what's Drax's motive to not tell Angela what she wants to know and why is Angela so hell bent on finding this woman (I'm assuming they're referring to Gamora)?

Bendis automatically makes this a fail.

Deodato is awesome, no lie. And you're right about Drax, this is the best Bendis has done with Drax, actually getting him in-character...maybe that's a good sign for the book.

I LOVE the art, bro. Deodato's art is gorgeous, always has been, Drax looks like a bada55, Angela looks like I epect her to, a sexy angelic warrior- Knowhere looks awesome, cyberpunky yet sci-fi, & the fight scenes look awesome..&, like jonny said above, Drax is actually in character under Bendis' pen for once. If Bendis can get past the Bendisisms that made his run on GOTG problematic, & write characters in-character the way he's doing with Drax, then the book can be great. The beautiful art definitely isn't in question, just the writing. Worth looking at for the art alone though. C'mon Benids, you can do it...you did an awesome run on DD; I know this & DD is totally different, but man, channel some of that awesomeness back so we can get a great cosmic book! His run with GOTG & Avengers makes me super-skeptical, can't help it...but that art tho...

I've been harbouring a small hope that Bendis would use this short SW-series (4-books I think) to 'fix' many of his previous characterisation errors.

@winter_kills: And I am so glad Agent Venom's gonna be a Spaceknight; does that mean he'll be breaking off the Guardians?

@z3ro180: Honestly I've no real idea as they're using their 'old school' uniforms... But I'm assuming they are the 616-group since Draxx wouldn't otherwise know who Angela is.

@ostyo: bendis is fail i agree. but this was not too bad. much better than any of his x-men writing by far. please dont tell anyone i said it was good.

I usually like Deodato's art, but it doesn't look right to me.

That art is fantastic. Deodato's art alone made Original Sin worth the cover price.
