Loving it

I wasn't interested in this before, but I kind of am now. I doubt this will carry over post Secret Wars, but I'm that somehow it will inspire the main Spider-man/Peter Parker and Mary Jane to rethink things over and what they could have.

This is issue 2

I was interested in this before, but now even more so with the fact that their daughter knows she has powers and both she and Peter have to keep them hidden. This could be a very interesting story (and the marriage better stay in Post Secret Wars).

I liked the first issue, interested to see where Slott's going with it.

@aros001: I don't think the marriage will stay post-Secret Wars. The cover and description for Vol.4 Issue 1 have been released, and Dan Slott has said "One of the things I always loved was there was always a triangle. …There’s all these characters who are vying for Pete’s attention and I think you’re going to get back to that. You’re going to see all kinds of different characters we know and care about.”

So while that doesn't necessarily say 'peter won't be married,' here's the cover for Issue 1:

The women in the top left corner don't appear to be MJ. In the new volume's description, They're trying to make Peter a billionaire playboy type character, so I have no idea if a marriage would even mean anything after RYV.

Man its such a tease seeing what could of been.....

@comedy_brosusa: NOOOO! I hate love triangles. More often than not they really don't work and they always make someone look like a jerk. I know I shouldn't judge before I read it but there are more ways of creating drama than throwing a wrench into someone's love life, especially when they're happily married.

The obvious/awkward love triangle between Peter-MJ-Carlie was what made me annoyed with ASM years ago! Like how Peter in one issue went from saying 'goodbye' to MJ(WHY WHY WHY, would he do that) to a few issues later smooching Carlie. But I think it upset other people too. And then a few more issues later MJ showing how she liked Peter again!

I really hope they don't throw Mary-Jane under the bus for Post-Secret Wars. Or else I'd say Renew Your Vows was pointless. Even though Slott has said it will have repercussions of some sort. But that isn't the 1st time we've heard that from him.

I haven't picked this one up. is peter still 'the other' spiderman in this one?
