This June, the secret is out.
Original Sin Teaser--Hulk and Iron Man Have One
Stark probably helped create the Gamma bomb that created the Hulk.
Did you get that from Armored Adventures?
@amazingwebhead: I got it from the cover to the comic.

Well, yeah, obviously. I'm asking if that show had anything to do with you drawing the conclusion.
@amazingwebhead: Why what happened in the show?
Looks like Tony is going to be the reason, or one of the reasons, Bruce became the Hulk.
Original Sin: The ALL NEW event of all events to retcon history NOW!
If it ends up that Tony had anything to do with creating the Hulk I will be terribly, terribly angry.
@theacidskull what say you?

Apparently, in that version, the gamma bomb was made from Bruce Banner and Howard Stark's research. (without either one's approval) Bruce went back to reclaim his notes, but then he saw Rick Jones on the testing site and...well, you can guess what happened.

@black_arrow: when did tony made is debut in comic? i think hulk made is debut before tony stark. so i dont think tony is behind hulk's creation.

That doesn't matter. The comic world doesn't have the same time that our real world. If the writers want to say that Iron man existed before the Hulk then he will exist before the hulk.
@black_arrow: thats not good!!
I honestly hope they make very good use of this, I don't want to be negative about anything but this seems to lead towards something that would make Hulks origin a load of bullcrap. I don't want stark involved in banners experiment, the whole idea is that it's Banners own fault for becoming the hulk, he tapped into that hidden childhood rage that unleashed the strongest there is, I don't want that to simply be deleted out of existence. Banner already has an ORIGINAL sin, considering he killed his own father at the graveyard, and whether he did intentionally or unintentionally is what makes it so cool.
I hope this event explores Bruce's and Tony's relationship further and actually makes worthwhile contributions to both their histories like Jeff Parker did in the Indestructible Annual. This is an opportunity, I don't want to see it wasted. Maybe Bruce and Tony were involved in the creating of something horrible?and now this secret will bond them together? See now that would be interesting and worthwhile, and not completely redundant and unnecessary.
This.
Agreed 100% for me.
I dunno, I could see maybe Howard Stark was backing the experiment, then Tony had the option to withdrawl &/or cancel it, maybe he even did, & as a result of the confusion of investors changing or lack of a budget, results in Bruce becoming the Hulk. Like say there should have been a failsafe that would have stopped the test, but it wasnt turned on/ not installed.
However, I wish comics would STOP with the retcons/ retelling of origins, first meeting etc, & just continue on with the story-universe. We did NOT need the new52. We do NOT need any retcons changes that OS could introduce. If OS introduces a new villain/threat that Tony&Bruce need to create, but has to first have a bunch of retcons, just introduce two new throwaway characters instead.
Maybe Stark had the cure the whole time and never told Banner and he suffered for years and lost everything he had when he could have be cured days after the accident. I could see Tony thinking that the Hulk is an important scientific accident that needs to be studied. He could have been the one funding General Ross and the Hulkbusters and providing them with the weapons to take him down to research him. They always tried to capture him and detain him. It had to be for another reason besides him being a threat to the public.
