Mike Choi's Variant Cover to JUSTICE LEAGUE #8

You've probably already seen the cover to JUSTICE LEAGUE #8 by Jim Lee. Apparently Green Arrow is coming after the Justice League. He doesn't look too happy. It might be because he's never been invited to be a member of the team. Check out that cover here if you haven't seen it already.

Today, DC has revealed the variant cover by Mike Choi.

This time he looks a little happier. Maybe they did finally invited him to join the team. But DC also included a quote from Batman:

We all know what happened when we let someone ELSE in to the Justice League. It ended very badly.

What the heck does that mean?!? Guess there's still a lot we don't know from the five years between the first arc and the current.

JUSTICE LEAGUE #8 is on sale April 18, 2012.

Wonder Woman is looking at GA like she wants to have happy fun with him. Who's the baddie with the arrow in the butt? I'm guessing that's the butt. it's just to hard to tell for me.

really dont like superman's face but other than that this is damn good, its sad choi reportedly anounced retirement from mainstream comics or some such thing a few days ago on his twitter. him and is former Wife to be Sonja oback (his colorist for years) were an incredible art team. sad day

I am really going to need Ollie to grow his facial hair back lol.

he has kinda been lacking the edge sense sonja oback stoped being his colorist, and if he doesnt crosshatch and shade his pencils as he did in Astonishing Thor his art starts to sadly look flat and bland, there is some shading here but not enough. he is one of my fav artist but i just telling the truth

nah I dont think he is quitting forever, thank god.

he is just taking a full time job in another industry, but he'll never stop comics (or so he says)

I will be furious if this book is just JL fighting GA. Didn't they say he was already in the JL. Friends don't punch friends through buildings. I'm sick of superheroes fighting each other in the new 52. I'm ready for some villain on hero action.

@notquitevarsity At this point in time GA is not part of Justice League yet. He'll probably join eventually. Which heroes are busy fighting each other in the new52? I think you may be confused with AvX from Marvel.

You know what would be hilarious? If Shazam was the team member that ended things badly. That would totally go along with the backup story.

I'm curious by the Batman quote to be honest. And Ollie wanting to be part of the show, well, I can see that, but I kinda am liking the roster as it is right now, a veritable Magnificent Seven of the New 52.
