I hope this doesn't undo things. As much as I hated what they did, I rather they not go "oops, didn't happen afterall" and just stick with their mistake, learn from it and move on. Rebooting is such a cop out. I hope this is an alternate universe thing, and I'm thinking it is.
While Marvel movies have hit the mark their comic stories and shock value hype and just plain rehashed ideas and stupidity under Joe Quesada have made their books stale, under performing and quite frankly overly political. And the expressed liberal bias is blatant. I'm not going to read any of their stories until someone new takes the reigns and gets back to the fundamentals of real true thought provoking action and story telling that is meant to entertain and not push sales or a leftit political agenda. DC has it going on..but their movies have been behind the curve.

i dont know how i feel anymore. but i have stopped buying marvel books, except for daredevil... untill all the maddness is sorted out. Mainly because i dont want to spend hundereds/thousands of dollars over the course of the next 10 months for no reason. Obviously marvel has something big planned, and i really dont wanna waste a ton of money on stories right now that potentially mean nothing later.
He turned over a new leaf, I guess. Whatever it is, this new relationship really works. It turns out Wade can actually be a decent family man, in his own way.

You gave me hope for Peter and MJ in Spider-Island and it all came crashing down with Superior Spider-man (still thought it was Slott's best work on the series regardless).

At the end of "Secret Wars" Peter Parker awakes and opens his shower curtain to reveal a naked showering MJ. The entire Marvel Universe has been a nightmare since just before Civil War #1.
I was wondering, how come batman has a kid and its not weird, but peter cant have any wife or kid. Wouldnt that fit better for a character who's whole existence is written over the word "responsibility"
That cover art has a very distinct whiff of mockery to it. It is every bit as much of a teaser for Spider-Man fans as you will ever likely see. Will they? Won't they?
My own personal guess? Peter is going to remember everything that happened and make a vow ... to himself that he's gonna win MJ back and have that future they wanted. That's right chaps, I'm predicting a "It's A Wonderful Life" style story arc.
I sincerely doubt Marvel are actually bringing back Peter and Mary Jane's marriage. Yet I really want them to because after Clark and Lois' marriage, Peter and Mary's marriage was one of the best in comics. I don't see legitimacy behind the critics and complainers for married superheroes. This is probably another one of Marvel's recycled events I bet.
What about Deadpool's marriage?
That marriage isn't a year old yet, but honestly I think it has potential (oddly enough) to be one of the best in comics. Their dynamic is really interesting (and the addition of DP's daughter is a plus).

It pisses me off that Marvel's entire marketing strategy relies on shock value.
Hasn't that been the way its going with Both DC and Marvel. Since at least the 90's. If you want to bust you sells. You just kill a character off and bring them Back in 6 mouths. Making their death totally useless. Or you do something conversational. Just to change it back 5 years down the line. I think there a reason why the comic industry is a multi-million dollar instead of a multi-billion dollar industry.
Also it would be nice if marvel actually tried cleaning the mess that Joe Quesada left them with. As for the Marry Jane/Peter Parker thing. Has anyone notice that half the covers since Brand New Day. Have Mary Jane on them. Not to mention that "One Moment in Time" Storyline. Its almost like they are teasing the audience this whole time. Between the Spider Totem Pole, Gwen Stacy having sex with Norman Osborn and One More Day. I have given up on Spider-man. And I'm not interested in seeing Spider-man hooking up with random chicks either.

Would renew his vow meant that Peter was already married? Also, a good plot twist would have been to have seen Peter Parker and Felicia Hardy/or Betty Brant married with their daughter because that would had been different. Right now, evil Black Cat is just an empty shell of her former self. She needs some TLC from Peter Parker to bring her back to life once again.
Looking at all the teasers together, all I'm wondering is: "Is Marvel Drunk?" or just what the hell are they planning? Time Travel? Parallel Universes? Spider-Verse is kinda recent for that
I guess they "fix" Spider-Man. Some of the teasers to past events had extreme changes to peters life. My guess is that they WON'T let Peter change sides in CIVIL WAR, OMD WON'T happen, SUPERIOR WON'T happen. And how will they shove it down our throats? "It's magic"! Joe did it in the past and now he will say it again. "Everything after Peter took pro-registration side didn't happen". That's just my guess (and i would be happy with it).
