Marvel Teaser: THE END for Dan Slott?

It's the end of the week but that doesn't mean we've seen the end of the Marvel teasers. Speaking of 'the end,' the latest teaser teases just that.

Who is this the end for? We would immediately speculate it could possibly mean the end of Doc Ock's tenure as the SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN. That seems too easy though. And there's also the purple you have to think about. We also saw Slott's name attached to another teaser yesterday. Slott has mentioned being really busy lately so perhaps he'll have two titles or maybe even a third? Maybe a miniseries?

We'll have to wait for NYCC. What do you think this is about?

Let the Superior Spider-Man haters gather round with wide eyes and speculate.

As much as I would rather have Peter back, part of me hopes that this isn't the end of Spider-Ock purely to irritate the more obnoxious haters.

Anyway on topic I don't actually see this as to mean Peter coming back but I really really wish it was.

I have a hunch that this is a tease for the end of the Superior Spider-Man saga. As much as I am loving it right now, I still miss Peter. Peter Parker will always be Spider-Man to me.

Well, there's also Miles Morales, but that's a different story.

It'd be pretty funny if 2099 Spidey stays for a while and Miles comes to the regular Marvel Universe. You'd have Superior, Scarlet, 2099, Ultimate, and none of them would be Peter. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

These vague teasers are having the exact effect that Marvel has hoped for since we're talking about them.

Hey! No fair using purple in your teasers Marvel! That could be any number of people lol. The safe bet is on Galactus though it begs the question on what the fallout from Hunger will be. It would also make sense if he writes Galactus and Silver Surfer in tandem to keep some sense of consistency. Personally I'm always hoping for something unexpected. Maybe a mini series about The Wizard living out the last of his days and finally coming to terms with his brain tumor thing instead of continuing this tired fake family schtick. What I've seen from Camuncoli's art seems okay. He wasn't perfect or anything for Superior, but he seems versatile enough to work with Slott again. Definitely interested.

Only thing with Galactus is he would need to come back to 616 in order for it to be an All-New Marvel NOW! title. Sometimes the group Hawkeye into the Spider-Man Universe, I recall seeing the upcoming preview in the back of a few issue along with the other Spider titles.

Maybe Slott actually will write The Slayer of All That Breathes again.

I don't like doc ock but that doesn't mean I need Peter Parker. I just don't want doc ock. I also don't think Dan Slott is the best writter. He's not the worst, but I think there are other writters that could write a better Spiderman. I hope this is the end of Dan Slott's run. Let someone else try something.

I don't think this is gonna be an announcement of the end of SpOck. They want to keep that ball rolling a while longer. Probably Galactus eating Miles Morales (and a planet).

I really hope it's not the end of Superior Spider-Man. I really enjoy Doc Ock as Spider-Man so far. I know Peter will be back eventually, but I'd expect Peter to come back sometime closer to the second amazing Spider-Man coming out.

I just hate what Marvel has become...they're all over the place it seems. I know DC isn't perfect, but at least I can follow along with the stories. I hate these teasers by Marvel too. Someone up top said: "They're too vague". I agree, and now, they're destroying my beloved Ultimate Universe. *sigh*...I just want them to do a full on reboot like DC did back in the day. Yeah, certain things changed for the worse but some also changed for the better, I think Marvel needs to take those risks, because they have so much potential.

Suspended disbelief over the meta-physical notions of a bad Travolta movie premise aside; the needle barely moved. You know what compels audiences? Good villains. No matter how many times they've fought. Don't believe me? Come to my house any given College Football Saturday where Alabama is playing someone for the 100th year.

@grey56: I'll just say Superior is the most interested I've been with Spider-Man in over a decade. And it's not good villains that compel audiences, it's good conflict. Whether it's villain vs villain, hero vs hero, hero vs villain or idea vs idea. The last one being the most powerful I think. But that's just me.

My guess is that its either about Miles and the ending conflict with Galactus or Agent Venom. Hmmm real head scratcher.

i don't think this si the end of Superior because Slott would prolly want to end it with Ramos on art.

I do not by any stretch of thought, think that this is the end of Superior Spider-Man, instead I believe it to be another The End title. You know like how there was an entire The End series before? People may have forgotten it's existence though. For example: there was Incredible Hulk: The End and Iron Man: The End which were potential stories about how the lives of certain superheroes could end.
