I want a framed poster of that Thunderbolts cover.
Me too. I love all the covers for this insane ride of a series.
Besides this one I'm getting:
Inhumanity: Awakening - I loved the first issue. It was so well told and the ending gave me a stitch to the heart... It's also great to see Finesse, Stryker and Pixie in a comic.
Amazing Spider-Man 700.2 + 700.3 - The first issue gave me a feeling of home. Everything is the way it should be. Also, we have the first snow today and the tone of the book just added perfectly to the feeling that "Winter is coming" (As it also said in one panel...)
Marvel Knights Hulk - The X-Men and Spidey stories are great, so I give this one a try.
@fil123: I agree on Superior Foes of Spider-Man. It's brilliant. I just started reading it a couple of weeks ago. Word of mouth got me to buy the first two issues and try it. Read those and immediately drove back to the store and bought the last three. Can't wait for this issue.
IMO, Cap has always been seen as a guy who does not take a life through most of the 60s-2000s. now recently his attitude is getting more and more like Ultimate Cap who is a Soldier first and Hero second.
Look at his Marvel now Costume! No fruity Ear Wings, bullet proof looking armor. He is copying Ultimate cap look now!
@cadencev2: You kind of got 616 Steve's character development completely wrong. Go read his original comics, he was am American propaganda tool and his original writers glorified him killing Nazis and other war enemies to spread patriotism. He was never a Batman who was adverse to killing. Nowadays, writers have calmed Steve down to the point where he takes lives, but he cares more about doing the right thing and bringing hope. He is moving away from Ultimate Captain America. Lol.
Artists have been going more and more for an modern and armored look on Steve even before Marvel NOW. It has nothing to do with Ultimate Captain America. You think the cover is a rip off of the France moment, Steve has used his shield in a manner similar to that to bash robots, etc. Ultimate Captain America wasn't the first to do it.............

616 Cap is ALOT like Batman. Golden Age Batman killed criminals. Then he mellowed out so much he was a different person from 60s-current. It was all becuase of the Comic code. 616 Cap was a wussie in taking lives thanks to the Comic Code. Only now is he becoming more and more like Ultimate Cap who started out and stayed as what WW2 Cap was.
Also Using the Shield to cut in half a living person... very rip off what Ultimate Cap does. Also the Modern Armor argument only started to happen well after Ultimate cap pulled the look off.
@cadencev2: 616 Captain America was originally killing hoards of Nazis and other war crimianls. The comic code changed him, then writers just decided to stick with the calmer version of Steve. I'm sorry, but if you really think that 616 Captain America is becoming more and more like Ultimate Captain America, then you aren't reading current Cap comics. He indeed kills people and doesn't dwell on it , but he isn't coming in there wanting to spill blood everywhere, and isn't anywhere as brutal and hot headed as Ultimate Steve. You can't even get any comic today where Steve is as violent as Ultimate Cap. Not even close.
The costume started getting slowly armored in the mid 90s before Ultimate Cap even made an appearance in a comic.
Captain America killed Baron Blood with by using his shield in the same fashion Ultimate Cap does back in Captain America #253.
This was back in 1981. 21 years before Ultimate Captain America even made an appearance in a comic, and 26 years before Ultimate Cap had the France moment during Ultimates 3 in 2007. If anything, Ultimate Steve copied 616 Steve. Lol.

Vampire.... really? Your using a Undead being that is inherently evil as a comparison of a living life with choices? It proves he uses his shield in a interesting manner.
But the Marvel Now Armour is such a rip off. Im am not new to comics, I seen Cap's Armor and Suits from 80s and till current. He looks less like he did then and way more like Ultimate Cap now.
I can see we will agree to disagree as usual.
I think they realize how much cooler and better Ultimate Cap is and looks, and wish to capture that for 616.
@cadencev2: I'm just pointing to how Steve has done the same exact action before. We go by your logic, Ultimate Cap is copying 616 Steve.
The changes are becoming more prevalent, but like I said his costume started getting armored in the 90s. Before Ultimate Cap even appeared in a comic.
Marvel isn't trying to make 616 Cap as hot headed, racist, or violent as Ultimate Cap at all. Not even close. Marvel isn't trying to appeal to a new demographic by changing Steve even slightly. His personality is still the same as it has been always been in the modern age.

Ultimate cap is exactly a rip off 616 Steve, especially WW2 Steve. He has a excuse, I think it is funny how 616 Steve is being made more like his better and possibly popular Ultimate counterpart.
Just how I see it as a Ultimate Fan who disliked the boy scout saluting, listen to what your mom tells you son, every villain will live to plague me again 616 Cap being made more like Ultimate Cap.

Cool, but Marvel isn't 616 Steve anything more like Ultimate Cap. That is pretty evident if you read his own comics. And I doubt Ultimate Cap is more popular, ask people about Captain America and they'll tell you about the good hearted, patriotic soldier. Not a hot headed extremist. Lol. Maybe a few have heard about the France moment, but Ultimate Cap has a long way to get as popular as 616 Steve.
Nothing really catches my attention this week and I still have yet to read Inhumanity so ill get started with the issue and go from there before I dive into anything else.
