Marvel has been bringing up the subject of fear in their latest batch of mysterious teasers. The image above was released yesterday and the one below came out today.
Xerox-Kitty also pointed out this mysterious video found on their site:
I'm sure we can expect to see more teasers this week. What are your thoughts? What do you think this is dealing with?
Marvel releases so many teasers it's insane...I hear more about teasers then I ever do about the storylines themselves, do all their teasers actually end up becoming an event?
I'm definitely intrigued. It looks like it's gonna be a good one!

Cyclops has felt like the 'New Magneto' more & more over the last few years that it's almost a relief to just get this over & done with... It's time he turned to the dark side & started raging about mutant superiority.

How has he felt like Magneto? The only thing that is similar to what Magneto did was Utopia...

It's how I feel about the way the character has been written. He isn't the leader of the X-Men. He is the holier-than-thou leader of a mutant army, dedicated so much to the survival of his 'species' that he over-looks sacrifices and casualties as an acceptable means to an end... like I said, it feels like he's only a step away from taking over Magneto's old role about mutant superiority.

( well meaning it`s kinda Emma`s fault but that is only best buy in queens is closing up shop!)
This definitely is the 'Fear Without Man' that was part of the time line in Avengers #5.

That would be cool too. But Marvel has their event 'Architects' and a lot of secret, huge stuff is supposed to be coming in 2011. So this is probably more than just a theme. Either I am stoked. Marvel does ads so well. If only the actual books always delivered.
Oh and the Cap one is probably for what happens in Bucky's trial.
I am not sure if a universe wide fear event is necessary Steven Colbert would be proud.
Also it looks like Spider-Man's afraid of the economy. Is that a hint at him losing his job or him now that he is loaded trying to do something for the people out side of beating face.
Family secrets just seem like something to fight about not fear.
Cyclops's fear seems reasonable and the Hulk has had that fear for ever so nothing new there.
Captain America's has the most promises to me though.
I hate how these teasers cause the mind to run wild with the potential for some true drastic changes to the MU and then common sense kicks in, knowing that will never happen or it'll be retconned in a year or two. Damn you, Marvel. DAMN YOOOUUUUUUU!!!!!!!
This event has potential but honestly with the whole thing with the Chaos War going on, who would be the big baddie in this one..........or better yet could this be Marvel's way of bringing somebody and using this as the way they come back with new powers...............I have a few ideas but I have to see how the stories go because there have been at least two heroes who "passed away" who can do something on this scale........be interesting to see where they take this..............also I can see Scott being the new Mags, he's already becoming more and more like Prof X and the only difference between X and Mags was their approach to violence for the betterment of their goals.
