Marvel Announces Loeb & McGuinness on Mysterious 'Reborn' Title
Not again, Another event Ugh, Im starting to hate events. The fact it is Loeb writing this, I can skip this altogether. But the creative team screams out a Hulk event.
I love how everyone is saying its too early for Torch to come back- but they think its alright for Bucky to be Reborn? WTF. Neither Hulk nor Red Hulk are dead- nor should they be needed to be reborn.
Phoenix makes sense, but even the X-Men writers have said that she's not coming back.
And screw Sentry- the guy sucks, he's been a major turn off for wanting to reading avengers related material.

V U L C A N since Black Bolt is back in FF. They could not keep the silenceless quiet.Too many letters you guys. I'm thinking it's gonna be a Heroes Reborn thing, with the 90s being back and all, so I'm guessing EARTH Reborn.
I hope the blanks are not for letters but just a blank becasue RUNAWAYS is too big. I really hope it is the RUNAWAYS because it is so awsome.
But if it is not the RUNAWAYS, cable would be cool for the dead characters
I hope that they use a already living character like the RUNAWAYS, but really Cloak and Dagger, Young Avengers, or other B-list or C-list caracters would be awesome
@Arevish said:The amount of letters doesn't matter, Jeph Loeb wrote Ultimatum, there's a good chance he'll misspell his titular character.S E N T R Y. Bucky comes back from the dead, or he is going to get a major revamp after Fear.
Plus they have used Rebirth for Captain America, so using Reborn for Bucky could go along with that and hint at that idea too.
for everyone saying that everything Loeb writes is horrible or that they won't read this because Loeb is writing it. What about Batman: Dark Victory, Batman: Long Halloween, Batman: Hush, Daredevil: Yellow, Hulk: Gray, Catwoman: When in Rome, Spider-man: Blue, Superman: For All Seasons? How can you say that everything he writes is bad when he has these classics under his belt?
Couldn't they come up with a more clever name?
Captain America: Reborn
Daredevil: Reborn (I think?)
Batman Reborn
Green Lantern: Rebrith
Flash: Rebirth
Stop 'Reborn-ing' all these characters, do something that sounds more interesting.
Why are people assuming that the number of dash marks is a clue to how many letters are in the name of whose getting reborn sure it might be but it's not definite

Loeb, like any writer, has had his share of crappy books throughout his career, but the man still has written some classic stories. Not to mention Batman: Hush still remains one of my favorite Batman stories I've ever read.
I Betcha It's "MARVEL Reborn" To Counter DC's Upcoming Reboot.
Only Problem With That Guess Is That The Letters Of MARVEL Don't Fit In The Spaces, But Still, Seems As Likely As Any Other Guess At This Point.
Wow, the Loeb hate is overflowing in here. And Ultimatum was absolutely horrible. But I just can't get past how good Batman: the Long Halloween, Superman for All Seasons, Spiderman: Blue, Hulk: Gray, and Hush were. Damn you Jeph Loeb, I don't know why I trust you so much, after you've scorned me so.

For every classic you mentioned there (which, a couple could be argued whether they even are or not considered "classics"), I can name a giant turd he has written well AFTER those books. Personally, I love Daredevil: Yellow, and think Spidey: Blue is pretty great, and while I don't really see what the huge fuss about Long Halloween is to this day, even as a huge bat-fan, I admit it's quite good. But, once again, these books are old. Loeb has been producing not just mediocre or even poor, but some AWFUL stuff since (he nearly killed the Ultimate line - and indeed did, in a sense, for many.)
I don't see anyone here explicitly arguing that Loeb hasn't written anything that is generally considered "good" or even "classic" in the past. Fact of the matter, though, is that much of what he has written for the better half of this last decade has been received with mixed to overwhelmingly negative response. Therefore, it is not at all unreasonable for anyone to be less than enthused or optimistic about a project he's working on (especially one where it appears he may be taking on the task "resurrecting" a popular character.)
Other than Grant Morrison, I have never known a comics writer who deserves NO praise whatsoever, yet commands an incredible fanbase like Loeb. He's a terrible writer for Marvel. Only thing he has ever written decently is Batman. McGuinness in his bubbly colorful, cartoony art doesn't help matters. They are a terrible team and I don't get the appeal. I'll probably pass on this, unless they turn it around or it's a character I love.
