Infinity, the six part blockbuster comic event of the summer, brought to you by the star studded creative team of Jonathan Hickman, Jim Cheung, Jerome Opena & Dustin Weaver, takes fans to every corner of the Marvel Universe, and beyond! Earth has been marked as an “Avengers World”, protected by Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and more from the deadliest threats facing humanity. A powerful and destructive race is on a collision course with Earth and the only thing in their path is the Avengers! But even Earth’s Mightiest Heroes realize the one hope of defeating this dire threat is to unite every great hero across the cosmos…because only with a united Avengers Universe is there any chance of survival!

With our heroes at the other end of the universe, who is left to protect Earth? Enter Thanos, the galaxy’s most ruthless threat and an unparalleled force of brutality who brings order to the chaos of life through murder. The greatest threat to the Mad Titan’s work—and perhaps the universe’s greatest hope—is something he created leaving no world safe. Earth’s last hope may lie in the hands of a man who can level cities with a single whisper – Black Bolt, king of the Inhumans. But can the fearsome leader of a race hated and feared by his world, lead his people against Thanos? If they fall, so does the Earth—and the entire universe with it.

The Biggest Heroes. The Biggest Threats. The Biggest Sacrifices. This is Marvel’s INFINITY.

This looks like it might actually hold up pretty well. We need a good event after Age of Ultron...

#5 Edited by fil123 (677 posts) - - Show Bio

that voice sounded very similar to kevin conroys batman

#6 Posted by thanosrules (886 posts) - - Show Bio

Very much looking forward to this event! :D

In fact, it is the only thing keeping me from going completely digital. I just have to have physical copies of these books (and sadly all the billions and billions of tie-ins).

I really want to read this event but I'm going to wait and buy the trade.

#8 Posted by darknightspideyfanboy (2518 posts) - - Show Bio

It'll be interesting to see which will be more enjoyable, Infinity or Trinity War. Either way, we win. Two great events to look forward to, I can't wait!

This sounds way more interesting than Age of Ultron.

Marvel, take my money!

#12 Posted by BattheMan008 (310 posts) - - Show Bio

Sounds excellent! Although I'm more focused on the Trinity War event right now. :)

#13 Posted by johnkmccubbin91 (3897 posts) - - Show Bio

I'm so looking forward to this, should be better than AoU.

#14 Posted by Howard_Go (44 posts) - - Show Bio

This is going to stomp on the trinity war ;) THANOS THANOS THANOS

So, Trinity War kicks off this month, and Infinity starts next month. Not to mention, Villains month in September. Aaaah, my money will be flying out of my pockets, and I wont even mind.

When is the digital release for the FCBD Infinity issue? I've been waiting for it on Comixology...

This is going to stomp on the trinity war ;) THANOS THANOS THANOS

Yeah, especially since Age of Ultron turned out to be such a great read. Oh wait...

I love Hickman's work! I'm excited to see how his new characters interact with Thanos!

I would be surprised if we don't see him back in the Marvel Universe relatively soon.

#25 Posted by Daredevilnut (114 posts) - - Show Bio

I think this will be good. I'm just hoping I don't have to buy all the tie ins or the prelude stuff

I rarely buy into event hype, but I really hope this doesn't disappoint.

On a different note, the narrator of this reminds me of @G-Man doing the best stuff in comics videos

#31 Posted by RedheadedAtrocitus (6958 posts) - - Show Bio

The Builders? And just where are the Celestials in all this? Event looks great though!

#32 Posted by Mr_Athrilla (83 posts) - - Show Bio

Maybe it will end with Iron Man going back in time, and throwing Thanos' mother down the stairs while shes still pregnant with him.

#33 Posted by Angelo2113 (47 posts) - - Show Bio

If this will be one giant story about Black Bolt and the Inhumans being bada**es, it will have been well worth my money.

#34 Edited by DMC (2006 posts) - - Show Bio

How long will Marvel events pale in comparison and stand in the shadow of to their greatest event ever (imo)?

Granted I didn't read every event story so if there are any that are up there let me know.

Anyway I'm 99.9% sure Hickman will deliver, now that he's finally been given a shot.

#36 Posted by Sammo21 (733 posts) - - Show Bio

I bet the Avengers are wishing they didn't let the builders just get off scott-free now, huh?

#37 Posted by HollowPrince65 (143 posts) - - Show Bio

I may just buy the six issues because I cannot afford all the tie ins. All well. I'm sure it will be fun

I heard Angela will play a major part in Infinity. When this was said, I thought Angela and Death are about to duke it out.

Anything with super awesome Black Bolt has my attention, but these trailers with the terrible voices and useless advertisements really are shoddy for a leading company in the field.

#41 Edited by MadeinBangladesh (12031 posts) - - Show Bio

I'm not getting this. People said the same thing about Age of Ultron, how awesome it was gonna be. It turned out CRAP. Screw these Marvel events!

#42 Edited by JamDamage (1195 posts) - - Show Bio

Marvel has the better monthly books, and DC has the better events, even tho I didn't like Flashpoint or that Aquaman/Justice League crossover. Marvel keeps dishing out horrible events all the time. It's not like AOU was pushed on us either. It was hinted at for 3 years and still got crapped out.

#43 Posted by JamDamage (1195 posts) - - Show Bio

I'd say AOA was better then Civil War, but I did enjoy Dark Reign. Even it ended on a crap note with that garbage called Fear Itself. If they were gonna blow up Soldier Field at least they could have made sure the Packers were playing the Bears when they did it.

#44 Posted by novi_homines (1436 posts) - - Show Bio

I'll definitely be getting this.

#45 Posted by Impala (270 posts) - - Show Bio

I can't trust Marvel events so i'll stick with Trinity War but i might get it in trade if it's good.

@dmc: War of Kings And the Annihilation were pretty good but they were space events, Infinity Gauntlet I think was the best!!

#49 Posted by Herokiller12344 (1046 posts) - - Show Bio

Oaky, I know Thanos is evil, but isn't it a little low to target Earth ONLY when it's defenders leave.

I love it when Marvel screws up the entire MU and expect everyone to think it's cool. Lets' screw the universe up...reboot titles...Bring back BlackBolt without explaining how he's alive...Bring back the Mad Titan and not explained how he escaped the dimension...What happen Richard Rider? How to reboot the Guardians of the galaxy with Drax who was toasted to death by Thanos..Starlord who is stuck with Thanos and fighting to the death....Yeah...I can see why fans who don't care about a good storyline are about fall into another MU's b.s. Go DCU
