Grant Morrison Works on One of Three New Legendary Comics

Legendary Comics announced today three new books featuring some pretty popular names in the world of comics. This is another push by Legendary comics to bring new books by established talent to the masses.

This newest batch of books, coming out in August and September, features the writing talents of Judd Winick, Matt Wagner, and Grant Morrison. Here's more information about the books, as well as 3 pages from Morrison and Irving's new book ANNIHILATOR.

I think the better question would be which ones have you read. I'm sure you didn't just pull that opinion out of your ass. It had to have come from a place of experience, right?

Well pretty much his new 52 work ,because I'm one of those long absent readers they wanted to woo back.

Last stuff of his I actually liked was JLA.

I like Morrison, but his indy stuff has been pretty hit or miss with me. I might check this out when it's completed.

I like almost all stories by Morrison so I'm looking forward to this.

His Action Comics run? Literally his worst work? Not Doom Patrol, Batman, All Star Superman, etc.? Figures. I don't think you have enough to formulate such a firm opinion one way or the other. Admitting to not reading him much, but mentioning you avoid him like the plague doesn't make sense.

That Annihilator one looks pretty interesting and I'm a fan of Grant Morrison ,so I'm picking it up.

Interesred in the Wagner/Bisley thingy the most.

The mini, yeah, though it's certainly not his most well known work.

Oh I've sampled his Batman work on ,and off long before that ,and if you can turn a Bat fanatic like myself away from Batman that's saying something.

Thank God they have Scott Snyder on Batman now.

HAH! You don't "sample" his Batman work unless you're trying to set yourself up for failure. It's one long epic. One story. Reading bits and pieces is a terrible idea. No wonder you didn't like it. I'm also going to take a stab in the dark and suggest you've probably only read R.I.P. Am I wrong?

I feel like annihilator is going to be similar to flex mentallo.

These all sound good. Grant Morrison and Fraser Irving are a solid pairing.

Dude R.I.P was awesome. @jasoninthewoods I'm a huge Batman fan and Snyder's run is nowhere near as good as Morrison's.

Will this be another DC line?(Like Vertigo was) I assume Legendary is owned by WB? In the movies they are anyhow.

Man, there are some mean comments. I am not a huge fan of Morrison but I don't know, Annihilator seems interesting. Plus, I wasn't really a fan of Irving's work on Uncanny X-Men but it fits this story (at least what they've shown) perfectly.

Weird, I came here for Morrison's work and I find I'm more interested in the other two...

This sounds very typical of Morrison; I love the man's work but he's abused the whole "fictional characters are real" themes; but Frazer Irving is hard to resist.

I came here for Grant Morrison and I'll be leaving really wanting to read A Town Called Dragon.

I am not into mystics and I think Morrisons sounds a little to confusing for me to enjoy.

I looooove Morrison, but I dunno, it feels to similar to Joe the Barbarian.
