Legendary Comics announced today three new books featuring some pretty popular names in the world of comics. This is another push by Legendary comics to bring new books by established talent to the masses.

This newest batch of books, coming out in August and September, features the writing talents of Judd Winick, Matt Wagner, and Grant Morrison. Here's more information about the books, as well as 3 pages from Morrison and Irving's new book ANNIHILATOR.

A TOWN CALLED DRAGON

No Caption Provided

Story: Judd Winick

Art/Cover: Geoff Shaw

September 24, 2014 / 56 PAGES / $3.99

On the surface it seems like your average all-American tourist trap, but this snow-covered town hides a burning secret. After centuries of lying buried within the depths of an icy mountain, the world’s last dragon egg finally hatches – endangering modern life as we know it. Now an unlikely group of dangerously unqualified, ordinary citizens must band together, battling the elements – and each other – to slay this menacing creature.

An action-packed modern day myth, this 5-issue series is an original story written by Judd Winick (Batman, Green Lantern), featuring the art of exciting new talent Geoff Shaw.

THE TOWER CHRONICLES: DREADSTALKER #1

Story: Matt Wagner

Art/Cover: Simon Bisley

August 13, 2014 / 32 PAGES / $3.99

HE LIVES TO KILL THE DEAD.

The supernatural bounty hunter John Tower returns in this thrilling new monthly series from writer Matt Wagner (Mage, Grendel) and artist Simon Bisley (Lobo).

After thwarting a demonic possession and tearing a mystic artifact away from the clutches of the Brotherhood of the Rose, Tower believes himself one step closer to his mysterious goals. But the next chapter of his journey leads him and his unofficial partner, FBI agent Alicia Hardwicke, to the frozen wilderness of Canada where they must face off against a nightmarish beast that has been feasting on the locals. Will Tower's mission prove successful, or is he leading Alicia to an icy tomb?

ANNIHILATOR

Story: Grant Morrison

Art/Cover: Frazer Irving

September 4, 2014 / 40 PAGES / $3.99

ONE MAN’S MIND IS THE MOST DANGEROUS PLACE IN THE UNIVERSE

Legendary Comics proudly presents Annihilator, an original graphic novel odyssey from the extraordinary mind of Grant Morrison. This 6-issue series is a subversive sci-fi adventure like no other, brought to life with stunning artwork from Frazer Irving (Judge Dredd, Necronauts).

Washed-up Hollywood screenwriter Ray Spass is caught in a downward spiral of broken relationships, wild parties and self-destruction. Out of luck and out of chances, he’s one failed script away from fading into obscurity. Little does he know he’s about to write the story of his life.

As his imagination runs rampant, Ray must join forces with his own fictional character Max Nomax on a reality-bending race to stop the entire universe from imploding… without blowing his own mind in the process.

I think the better question would be which ones have you read. I'm sure you didn't just pull that opinion out of your ass. It had to have come from a place of experience, right?

Well pretty much his new 52 work ,because I'm one of those long absent readers they wanted to woo back.

Last stuff of his I actually liked was JLA.

His Action Comics run? Literally his worst work? Not Doom Patrol, Batman, All Star Superman, etc.? Figures. I don't think you have enough to formulate such a firm opinion one way or the other. Admitting to not reading him much, but mentioning you avoid him like the plague doesn't make sense.

Is Matt Wagner the guy who wrote Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman: Trinity?

The mini, yeah, though it's certainly not his most well known work.

Oh I've sampled his Batman work on ,and off long before that ,and if you can turn a Bat fanatic like myself away from Batman that's saying something.

Thank God they have Scott Snyder on Batman now.

HAH! You don't "sample" his Batman work unless you're trying to set yourself up for failure. It's one long epic. One story. Reading bits and pieces is a terrible idea. No wonder you didn't like it. I'm also going to take a stab in the dark and suggest you've probably only read R.I.P. Am I wrong?

Dude R.I.P was awesome. @jasoninthewoods I'm a huge Batman fan and Snyder's run is nowhere near as good as Morrison's.

Man, there are some mean comments. I am not a huge fan of Morrison but I don't know, Annihilator seems interesting. Plus, I wasn't really a fan of Irving's work on Uncanny X-Men but it fits this story (at least what they've shown) perfectly.

This sounds very typical of Morrison; I love the man's work but he's abused the whole "fictional characters are real" themes; but Frazer Irving is hard to resist.
