He might be less wasted in this book then he has been in Guardians of the Galaxy. In the entire Black Vortex event he said like two sentences and didn't get a single scene focusing on him.

@galerion: that's true but did you read guardians of the galaxy like 19-23. The was all about venom and he was involved a decent amount at the end of that run as well when star-lord became president of spartax
