Looks good but from what I've heard Bunn isn't a great writer.

The art seems to have remained the same for the most part.

I barely even notice a change in the art, to be completely honest.

When did Rick leave Venom?

Still, I'm sure Bunn can carry on Venom well enough. I'll see carry on getting the series.

couldnt agree more. I could totally see the change in the book once he started co-writing it. He style is so plain and boring. So once Rick's last issue comes out next week, I will not be picking this title up anymore. I dont like the fact that he seems to be co-writing or taking over so many of the big named titles right now. Its like Marvel is trying to make you like his writing.

The spread featuring all of the major events so far of Flashes life as Venom is really cool, would make a good wallpaper.

@xAnimosity: Definitely agree with you there. Bunn is just avg in all his marvel books and he's taking on alot of titles. Will miss ya Rick, but you moved on to bigger projects.

The ONLY storyline in the new Venom that I didnt like was the .1 storyline with Hell and Las vegas, it was just stupid, dragged ina bunch of losers (other than X23) and now it looks like thats the new directions ...SIGH

I guess im the only one that finds supernatural storylines dumb.

Considering Bunn co-wrote some Venom I doubt the book is going to go on a downward spiral. My guess is that it won't be Remender quality but it's going to remain an awesome series. Something that I enjoyed from Remender was Crime-Master and Jack O'Lantern but now it's time for a fresh new enemy for Agent Venom and hopefully Bunn can deliver. I can't wait!

Bunn co wrote venom I have faith it will be good. The last panel is pretty awesome. I like the webbed images as well

Looks so-so at this point. I'd like to given Bunn the benefit of the doubt but...

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but since when was Hellstrom a menace? I was under the impression that he was something of an anti-hero, but nevertheless a good guy.

Bunn made him a full-on bad guy in the Fearless. Had him join forces with Sin and Crossbones. It's clear he subscribes to the same school of forcing their twisted takes on characters down our throats at every chance as most of Marvel's hacks do. ¬_¬

Really? Because he co-wrote Savage Six and it was pretty damn awesome.

I know, right?

It makes no sense. He's being giving big name books when everything he writes is beyond bland and just dies under his direction.

And they're pretty big books he's got his mittens on. Why the hell is some nobody who's came out of nowhere being given big name books from big name creators. Wolverine, Captain America, Venom and possibly Deadpool. What does he have to prove he can sustain interest in these books? Captain America and Hawkeye? The Black Fury mini? Spider-Man: Season One?

@broo1232
I think we need to give Bunn a chance after all he has helped co write Savage Six, which has completely kick major ass, and Sixth Gun is awesome
#23 Edited by WWAJfan (242 posts) - - Show Bio

Dont know why some people Hate Bunn,he co wrote the Savage Six arc, and it was Epic, n he wrote the Sixth Gun which is pretty awesome. Just give the guy a chance, he has plenty of awesome ideas for Venom.

#25 Posted by Mokey (188 posts) - - Show Bio

#26 Posted by zackattack529 (1404 posts) - - Show Bio

I think im going to drop this and jump on Secret Avengers.

does anyone know if that title is good with Remender on it??

#27 Posted by Yung ANcient One (4848 posts) - - Show Bio

is it just me or does it look live Agent Venom is fighting Daken?

( + )

#28 Posted by CombatSpoon86 (832 posts) - - Show Bio

@zackattack529: Definitely a good series. Remender is back in his groove with this story arc with taskmaster, max fury and the masters of evil army.

Damion Hellstrom? Is that an evil doppelganger? Or is it a typo and Daimon Hellstrom is evil.

If so that really makes him a boring character.

Savage Six was good but I didn't enjoy it that much. And his other stories suck.

The more I see this new Venom costume, the less a fan I am of it. The face is too Spidey methinks, and the shoulder pads look a bit silly as well as all the army gear strapped to him...... no thanks.

Page 3, Panel 3.. They actually drew it.. @________@

Just look & you'll see..

@broo1232: yes he is a good writer but in a way he is beginning to loose his touch. i collect the venom series

Really like Thompson-Venom and this particular issue looks great, but for me there will be no Venom good as Brock. Just my opinion.

#36 Posted by Jayze (12 posts) - - Show Bio

They need to have a venom Scarlet spider crossover

#37 Posted by Teerack (7058 posts) - - Show Bio

Yay, the last artist sucked.

After last week's issue of secret avengers I'm not sure I like how venom is developing.

I thought Hellstrom was a good guy now.
