Since the announcement that Age of Ultron was almost upon us, many have asked about Spider-Man's role. When the story first appeared in the POINT ONE issue, we saw Hawkeye and Spider-Man together. With the current changes in SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN, the question has been which Spider-Man will appear in this story? It looks like that answer can now be answered.

Marvel has sent over a 'first look' at SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #6AU. Things are looking pretty grim.

Marvel is pleased to present your first look at Superior Spider-Man #6AU, from the red-hot creative team of writer Christos Gage and artist Dexter Soy! With Ultron running rampant throughout the Marvel Universe, the Superior Spider-Man must think fast, and act faster as the clock winds down to complete annihilation. How does Doc Ock fit into this new world? Can he work with the few remaining heroes to make it out alive?

With the robotic revolution in full force, no fan can miss how Age of Ultron will ultimately change the Marvel Universe leaving no hero or villain unscathed! So what are you waiting for? Head on over to your local comic shop and reserve a copy of Superior Spider-Man #6AU today! Fans have been demanding to know more aboutAge Of Ultron since Free Comic Book Day last year, and come this March – some of those questions and more (including an ending nobody will see coming) will be answered in Age of Ultron!

Art looks good. The story better be improved from the current standards. Maybe a change of scenery can do that.

Wow this preview looks AMAZING! (even if it is only superior) Can't wait for this series, and X-termination, and Infinity. Marvel why you boost my pull list so high?

Using Doc Ock's tech against him will be the last mistake you ever make Ultron. I'm proud to live in the Age of Superior.

Wasn't exactly sold on the Age of Ultron, but I'll probably pick this up because, I'm enjoying Superior Spider-Man.

Only one more week until this starts. I've been looking forward to this since Mighty Avengers, Heroic Era Avengers, and Moon Knight. This has been a long time coming and I am extremely excited.

Yup looks like I am too. I'm going to be slightly irritated though if he is written here better than he is by Slott. That would make Yost, Waid, and now Gage that I like more than Slott writing him.

This...looks...BADASS! Spidey-Ock is killing it right now.

I'm not sure if I'll pick this up. I'll have to wait and see how much I dig Age of Ultron. If I decide not to buy the Age of Ultron main series, I'll skip this issue and jump back on when the regular Superior Spider-Man team returns.

So much respect for Age of Ultron right now. An apocalyptic story that looks like it will have repercussions. Damn.

The art is indeed fantastic.

Though I frankly have absolutely no idea what's going on in the Marvel Universe. I just started with a few Marvel NOW #1s and none of them has given me an inkling of what this massive event is or who Ultron is or whether this is alternate universe (and therefore just as easily ignored as read) or what.

Whats up with the web going on the back of the costume?

#34 Edited by Dernman (15797 posts) - - Show Bio

Still hate Spock and now I hate him even more because that looks awesome and it's not Peter. :p

#35 Posted by maddpanda (51 posts) - - Show Bio

Hey, that's the same artist from Captain Marvel! I love this man. I might have to pick this up for the art.

#36 Posted by Teerack (7455 posts) - - Show Bio

Damn was really hoping Peter wouldn't miss out on Age of Ultron :\

well he got the costume, He call himself spiderman. Peter Parker is under the mask. So, whats the problem?

#38 Posted by JakeN7 (13257 posts) - - Show Bio

OMFG. That. Art. Is. So. BEAUTIFUL!

#39 Posted by Grey56 (744 posts) - - Show Bio

@ThePRez: Actually, it's not Parker under the mask. No more so than it would be than were I to graft a face onto my own and put on tights to then proclaim myself Spiderman. Oh and the story about how it all happened - that was terrible as well. Those are both glaring problems.

The arts is incredible. I love it, and I am interested in THIS AU book. I find it interesting to see what SpOck decides to do since he hates taking a beating, and doing more than enough work. How does he feel about Ultron? Does he want to attempt to control Ultron? Again I am very interested. Can't wait for Pete to fully come back though (+)
#44 Posted by StMichalofWilson (4114 posts) - - Show Bio

Damn, art looking epic! Spider-Man being more badass!

#45 Posted by Mr_Athrilla (83 posts) - - Show Bio

This is my main problem with Marvel. Look at all that city wide destruction. We've seen it before. We saw it in the final battle of the Skrull Invasion, when the Worthy attacked, World War Hulk, and the Phoenix 5. It's not the continuous use of City wide destruction that bothers me. It's the fact that nobody learns from it. I mean after the Worthy messed up the planet the last time, nobody enacted any fail safes to keep this from happening again?

#46 Posted by mk111 (3139 posts) - - Show Bio

Nice art.

#47 Posted by Sprayer1218 (19 posts) - - Show Bio

Ok, so this does look pretty awesome. I was kind of on the fence on whether or not I was even going to attempt this Age of Ultron but after looking at this, I'm going to have to give it a chance. I'm not sure how thrilled I am about the alternate reality aspect everyone is talking about either. It seems like a big waste of time and it's not like we (the comic book industry) needs another alternate reality floating around.

*eyes explode because of too much awesome* I want this so bad. Just this issue. Just *dies*

Looks pretty freaking awesome. Been waiting for Age of Ultron for a long time now. Hope it doesn't disappoint. For awhile I wasn't sold on the whole Spidey Ock ordeal, but recently he has been doing some pretty amazing things. It's keeping my interest for the time being. Nice to see Spidey truly show his full potential, with less wise cracks and more cracking heads. Of course, I can't wait for Parker to come back, but until then it's halfway decent. Slot still sucks though...
