I like his blue costume better.

I loved 2099 back in the 90's and placing him in a contemporary setting with all the other spider characters just wasn't as fun as having him evade the cops gliding between mega skyscrapers and such.

I just really wish they'd put him in the future where he belongs

EDIT: unless he went back to 2099 after secret wars... I realized I'm out of the loop so maybe I'm just wrong and should be picking this up

Interesting suit...Mattina's cover looks outstanding, but the other images doesn't have the same pop, makes me miss the blue one

Spider-Man is going to end up like Ironman and have a crap load of suits. I like the new suit, but I love the older 2099 suit.

Before I didn't like the new suit but it's growing on me. I don't care for the white and/or lighter shade of blue.... why isn't he back in 2099 yet?

@the_kid_lantern: I'm going to presume it's because of Norman Osborn founding Alchemax long before he was supposed to. In any case I really don't mind because I think the fans love Miguel (myself included) he's got his own unique story though putting him in Peter's seems kind of...well redundant what with Kaine and Miles souped in too.

Seriously though, I didn't think Spidey costumes could get any better than the original 2099 outfit... and then this happened and completely blew that out of that water. Bravo.

I wasn't really on board with the Marvel NOW! series but this one looks like it has a lot of potential. I'll definitely pick up this first issue

This is my main problem. If Marvel can't get those guys to sell better why stick 2099 in the same crowd when he's always had his own separated fanbase? I really looked forward to the Secret Wars 2099 stuff because it gave us a look at the potential awesomeness of a new 2099 future and additional legacies being continued. That's the kinda thing I liked seeing in the original series, the Roman version of Sub Mariner 2099 even showed up during Secret Wars!

I've loved seeing Miguel all over the place. More appearances in recent Spiderman games, appearances in Ultimate Spidey Web Warriors, etc. If they wanna stretch Spiderman's universe with spin off films you'd think this guy would've come up in a conversation or two somewhere...

i was not all that impressed with the marvel now 2099. half the run was dedicated to the spider-verse the other half meaningless fights. i am hoping this one deals much more with Miguel. otherwise TAKE MY MONEY.

I hope Doc Strange 2099 is part of this series with a more modern looking costume.

@the_kid_lantern: Bless ya buddy you took the words right out of my mouth. Don't get me wrong I really like Miguel, Miles and Spider-Gwen but trying to put them in the same universe together is something that collectively I think weakens their individual character like take Peter for example he had a really cool plot line during the other and was supposed to be the big shot super spider guy but thanks to the disaster that was A Brand New Day they made Kaine the chief focus of that storyline and gave him all kinds of interesting backstory with Kraven, The Totems and Spider-Islands apparently because they didn't learn their lesson from clone wars and where is Peter during all this? who knows.
