So it's actually called Inhumanity #2? I could've sworn it was a one-shot called Inhumanity: Medusa.

Can someone explain to me what happened that started inhumanity?

Black Bolt blew Attilan up with a terrigan gas bomb. People got infected and are turning into super powered beings. Black Bolt faked his own death and now Medusa has to rally her people, who are scattered around the planet.

Thought inhumanity was just a one-shot. I'll pick this up

Nick Bradshaw's art looks so much better here than in Wolverine and the X-Men. I love the middle panel on the first page, it's pretty amazing.

I didn't like Inhumanity #1 at all. This looks cool though

Actually, its not really infection. What the terrigen mist does is effect only those with Inhuman DNA, so they are actually descendants of Inhumans. Inhumans don't show their powers/change until after exposure to the terrigen mists.

I assume because medusa is on the cover she'll now die at the end of the issue

Not necessarily. If you read Silent War, the US Military and SHIELD were able to infect their soldiers with it and turn them into super soldiers. However, unlike Inhumans, the effects on humans are vastly different and the side effects usually mean genetic degradation and death.

Quicksilver has also used the terrigan mist to repower mutants, but the effects it had were very different depending on the mutant. Quicksilver gained the ability to time travel, Callisto's senses became so enhanced that everything caused her pain, some mutants, I think, exploded.

Even Inhumans can be affected by the terrigan mist if they get hit with it a second time as well. Gorgon turned into a monster in Silent War when they gave him a second dosing of gas. And Black Bolt currently is suffering from a power loss from exposure to the gas a second time around.

I really enjoyed the first issue and cannot wait for this.

Infinity, Inhumanity, Inhuman....what in the Sam Hill is going on in Marvel right now? I've been reading Iron Man and that's it recently. Hopefully Indecency and Idiocy aren't the next two big events.

Art looks pretty great but I much prefer the way Bradshaw draws women compared to men.

@jake_fury: Infinity was Marvel's big 2013 event. Inhumanity is kind of a fallout of infinity book, and inhuman is a ongoing series that starts next year.

I'm excited about this issue really liked how they introduced the Inhumans in Infinity so I'm excited to learn more about Medusa...I'm a fan of red heads (;

@humanrocket: The inhumans were introduced since the 60s; they aren't new at all.

@bluealchemist: introduced the Inhumans to readers who haven't heard of them before. I didn't say they were new.

Medusa looks more like Starfire out of costume.
