First Look: HOWARD THE DUCK #1

He’s a person just like we are….only he’s also a duck. This March, that fine fowl returns to the pages of Marvel Comics in HOWARD THE DUCK #1 – the new ongoing series from writer Chip Zdarsky (Original Sins) and artist Joe Quinones (Savage Wolverine)!

Well Howard is an alien but he was created and written by Steve Gerber so you know how crazy and weird his stories would get.

Howard the Duck is getting a comic?!?!?!?! That's enough of a hook for me. Sign me up and when the Graphic Novel comes out you can guarantee I'll pick it up when I can! Howard for the win!

Wow, that's pretty cool. I picked up the essential HtD a while back and loved it but could never get into the later runs (especially that Max one...) I'll give it a try though!

(Love the time marker on that first page... I don't think a future where all ducks talk would be crazy, it'd be great!)

I wasn't excited for this book at all, but after reading this preview I kind of have to buy it.

Absolutely no interest in this. I was curious enough to check out the preview, but it's too ridiculous for me. If he ends up showing up in Guardians a lot I'll probably drop that too. Ugh. Just not into the foolish stuff or comedic stuff. I know a lot of people are though. Something for everybody I guess. Same thing with Bat Mite, Bazzaro Squirrel Girl etc.. Just not my thing.

I'll try the first issue and see what it's like, I doubt it will match the original comics ... and Steve Gerber should be given Creator credit

So is it coming out on the 4th or the 11th? Because on here it says the 11th on the marvel site it says the 4th.

Okay, I giggled. I didn't even have to read the preview because first, it's Howard the Duck and second, She-Hulk is going to be in this somewhere.

@the_stegman: As far as I know he was always sci-fi.

@sgt8track: Which would be appropriate since both Howard & Rocket have past dealings with her and she works in law firm specialised on superhuman thus actually making it quite in-character for them to meet with her at some point.
