Everybody loves HAWKEYE, and if you haven't been reading the new series by Matt Fraction, now might be a good time to start. Artist David Aja returns to the book in the series' sixth issue to help Matt Fraction bring some Holiday cheer to the title. In issue #6, Clint Barton decides he's in dire need of a vacation, but will everything go as planned? The issue hits stores on December 19th, and we've got the preview below. Wow this looks great and hilarious to me. Obviously the wirecutting panel was adapted in some way as a reference from Lethal Weapon.

I would prefer if if the red stripe on the bottom of the title page was gone and it was all white like before. Also, I think I prefer the purple over red. I am super excited, though. This is in my top 3 favorite books.

You can't start the article saying everybody loves Hawkeye. I don't.

Ok, his Marvel Universe counterpart was cool, but that was like a one in a million fluke.

OH WOW, reminds me of that Avengers video game where you could be Iron Man, Captain America, Vision, or Hawkeye. AWESOME! Love that its back to Aja too.

THis series is so awesome. that i had a pull list that i promised myself i would never add another title to it..well this series made me SQUEEZE it in there.

I recommend this series to ANYONE, but I must admit this series won't be for EVERYONE.

I must say that this series has really surprised me on how incredible it is. I wasn't a huge Hawkeye fan, except for the Ultimate Universe (I'm more into Green Arrow).

I sometimes feel like I'm the only person in the comic book community that doesn't like this series...

... that is, until I see that #3 only sold 35k, and I realise there are others like me out there :)

Looking back, I don't think I've ever liked any of Fraction's work, and I really don't like Aja's art style, so it makes sense that this book wouldn't appeal to me. Oh well. As the saying goes, to each to their own.

For your information The costume used in the movies is based on the Ultimates version of Hawkeye. where in the movie did Hawkeye have a bright purple sleeved shirt with sunglasses to make him "more like the movie?" Because outside of Iron man everyone is nowhere near like they're movie counterparts.

It's too bad art is such a subjective thing. I think it looks incredible. Maybe not individual panels, but the layout and composition... OH, YEAH!

The Dec 13 page or second page of the comicbook. It reminds me of a side scroller when Logan, Clint and Parker (if it is Parker) a side scrolling video game. I swear i love this comic. The art... it brings me back. Thanks for the read BABS.

This is currently my favorite Marvel book. I love how off beat it is, and I really dig the art.

35k is pretty decent for a second tier character solo title.

@cc1738: I didn't want to read it at all when I first saw because I didn't like the art, but it grew on me and now Aja is one of my favorites.

I do get a kick out this series. The back forth dialogue always has a way of amusing me. But, the one thing I would change is the art work. It's just not the kind I gravitate towards. It's really almost too simplistic for me. But, because of the writing, I swallow my preference of art and deal with it.
