First Look: FF #1

I really hate that art.

Its suppose to be parody of F4? Didnt know F4 was big enough for on-going parody. Its weird sure, but makes no sense and has terrible art. Matt can do anything he wants i suppose. I get they are trying branch out to more light hearted comics but this concept does not have enough quality behind it.

Love Fraction and Allred, so I will definately pick this series up. Still don't understand Miss-Thing....but hopefully this first issues will cleat things up!

I'm going to pick up the #1's, and then trade-wait (in case it gets rave appreciation from the comic book community). I really like Fraction and Allred (and have nothing against Bagley), for the most part, but I'm in the process of reading both the Lee/Kirby/Ditko and Hickman Fantastic Four - and thus don't want to read a third series at the same fragging time.

Not interested in this book. Doesn't look interesting and I'm still pissed they brought Ant-Man back on top of killing off his more interesting daughter who was my favorite Young Avenger.

I think it's going to be fun! It's something different. Change is good. She Thing is hilarious. I just think some people are a little too snobby about their comics.

I really hope people pick this book up. Please don't let this be canceled while crap like Arena happens.

Like Fraction, like She-Hulk, willing to give Ms. Thing a try, can go either way with Ant Man and Medusa. The art though... good for pop art but for this series, not too sure. Willing to give it a try though.

Honestly, I hope you all give it a chance.

This book is promising something more optimistic in tone than most of the Marvel books. We need more books like this and the new upcoming Young Avengers book, and less "KILL KILL KILL, MURDER MURDER MURDER"

I can understand not liking Allred (not really, but I'm being diplomatic) but to call his art "horrible" or the equivalent makes no sense to me. He has an understanding of human anatomy, his characters are consist from panel to panel, and he can tell a story. At the least his art is unobtrusive to understanding the story.

What the hell is "pop art"? How is Allred more or less pop than Jim Lee or Art Adams?

You guys dont like She-Thing sight un-seen, but probably complain about how Wolverine is in every book...

I don't get why people are against this title when there are so many titles which are just "Guns and Swords and DEATH DEATH DEATH!"

I love Allred's art, and who says Pop Art is a bad thing? I love Pop Art too, Warhol, Liechtenstein, Herring, Close, etc. Allred's art to me is as good as Kirby's or Ditko's. But anyways,

It looks like a fun book, fun in the same way that his X-Statix or Madman are fun, or the Tick is fun. Fun like Spider-Man or the FF should be fun (in general, not saying either title isn't fun. I love Spider-man too). I wonder if his comic will have moments of sadness or darkness like MASH or Go On but an over all fun aspect, or if it will be more zany or silly, or straight up serious like most comics?

Scott Lang has lost his daughter, right after being brought back to life no less. And Medusa has lost her husband sort of. Wonder how dark this will go?

I'm a fan of Allred, I love Madman, but I don't dig this preview at all personally. To me, this is a skip.

Nobody said anything like that, but I guess you feel this art is above criticism? It's not. And of course, everyone has different taste, it's silly to mock people for their preferences in art.

For example, some are saying this looks fun and optimistic. To me, the offputting, odd, and grotesque vibes of Allred's works since Madman are very present here. It's kind of nightmarish in a way. Ha, but again, we all have different taste and art is subjective and whatnot.

The odd and sometimes scary world of Madman works for me, but that doesn't mean I'm on board with everything the guy makes. It's like the comments are saying "This is Mike Allred, like it or you have no taste". Do people really think established creators are automatically above criticism, and will always hit? But hey, that's not a nut we'll crack today.
