I like Donna Troy's greek-style skirt. The coloring should be tweaked to be bronze and silver, just to go away from the USA's colors. I also like the finer details in her hair.

Nightwing's costume looks cool, as well.

The enemy design reminds me of an army of Annihilus', though.

@frochez: I meant pre crisis. After which JSA has gotten alot of female characters but the point is the trinity were always part of JSA Earth 2 until they died in Crisis.

This kinda feels like Marvel-2 universe with Spidergirl etc ... as in '' new generation'' .

From this cover and what we know about Huntress and Power Girl , these youngster generation is getting the spotlight for Earth 2 . I am all for giving a new generation a chance but as it has been said earlier, Rebooting the main series were a huge step...now they started to reboot the whole multiverse which took at least 30-40 years ( excluding crises )

Ofcourse these are speculations and we will see what the Earth 2 will be about when it come out but if it is as I thought , I think they can use a new alternate Earth for it and can give us the good Ol' Earth 2 with Old School heroes , stories and the lives that actually progress :P

Putting aside the fact that the New 52 has rebooted everything we know about the DC Universe, it is my opinion that the characters here appear more heroic. Willing more to work as a team than being at each others throats as they sort of are in Justice League. You can't really judge everything by a cover, but my feelings on this is that, where Justice League seems to start in the dark days of superheroes, Earth Two will be a sort of "Golden Age" for them.

Dc isn't stupid enough to use the exact same plot from JLA without a reason, my guess is Darkseid has found a way to gain access to various Earths and is invading them both simultaneously, which will eventually lead to a JLA/JSA team up to stop him

Or maybe in this world Darkseid won and beat what should be the Justice League. Now the second generation has to stand up and the older heroes are coming out of retirement to help?

You might just find yourself speechless after seeing this.

@Delphic: First of all, the current arc in Justice League involves them meeting for the first time, in an age where super heroes were just emerging. Comparing that League to an already together JSA is an unfair comparison.

But more to the point, Superman's logo looks sharper and more like a blade of sorts than a protecting shield.

Wonder Woman's armor is full of sharp edges and stuff, she looks more like a savage warrior than a gracefully brutal one.

And Batman's costume also looks more like knight armor than his smoother current one.

Sure the current League argued when they first met, but we know they've turned out fine. This Trinity looks more inherently brutal than the main DCU Trinity.

hm.. is this "ultimate comics - dc style" or are we going to see Jay Garrick and co?

Besides me, who else thinks this is a blatantly attempt of DC Comics to try to emulate Marvel's Ultimate Universe?

52 was the first comic I ever read back in 2006. What I am saying is: new reader friendly doesn't really matter. What DOES matter is that the story a first time reader reads is good. So in other words I don't really care if this isnt new-reader friendly, what's more important is that this issue is great. If it is, then new readers will familiarise themselves with the book.

@HombreMan: DC had Earth 2 years before Marvel had their ultimate universe. Besides, Ultimate universe isnt really a success in Marvel.

I don't get it. Another universe. Sure there was an Earth 2 but this is not it. Anyone who wants to argue needs just look at the pick. Earth 1 is coming now that E1 Superman is here and Batman is on the way. The mainstream universe, that everyone seemed happy with, is now gone. Except for Batman and Green Lantern. They more or less were not touched. Kyle Rayner was, but it doesn't seem like the other G.L.'s were. It's stupid. The books are okay, but for myself they are not as much fun to read as they were. Batman and Robin, and Batman are great, but they already were. G.L. is dragging along and taking forever to get were it's going and it's been 6 months. SINESTRO IS GL!!! WOW!!! Okay, get on with it already. Deathstroke is getting better but now Rob Liefield is taking over...............Crap.................I don't care if there's all these new universes DC is making, but make them side books, give us our mainstream books back. You know why they won't. Because if they were here, we'd drop a lot of the shit being written right now. I don't like the "New Reader" BS they are giving us, because a lot of the books are even more confusing then before. They are not doing anything to help new readers on who they are that they couldn't do before in a flashback sequence in the mainstream U. It's garbage, but for some reason I keep reading. I think, like I do with Birds of Prey, becasue they gave Barbarra Gordon her legs back, I'll boycott it. Not that it will make a difference.

This cover is awesome. I really hope that this is Dick under the cowl as I was sad to see him move on. Aside from that, I'll probably pick this up just to see what they focus on.
