There's been a bit of talk about the BEFORE WATCHMEN prequels. Right or wrong, it's a great comic. We got the chance last month to read all the first issues and the results weren't much of a surprise. There is an amazing list of creators involved with each limited series. You can see they've put in the time and effort to make it something good.

USA TODAY posted a preview for MINUTEMEN #1. It's Darwyn Cooke. He naturally has a feel for the time period pieces. This is a comic you'll want to pick up this week.

This really is the only Before Watchmen book that I might pick up in paper back. I could care less about the rest.

This cements my belief that Before Watchmen will be a HUGE success.

Honestly if this wasn't being done by Darwyn Cooke, it probably wouldn't work. He has a particular flair for doing period pieces. I liked his DC, The New Frontier but I wasn't a huge fan of it. Hopefully I'll feel different about this series.

Definite pick-up!

Cooke probably is the only one who could do this book right, which gives me hope for the other before watchmen books At least they are trying to put the right talent in the right spots it seems.

Darwyn Cooke, the writing's great and the art looks so awesome. I'm really gonna be glued to all info about this since I've opted to wait to get all TPs later on instead of single issues now. So far so good I say!
