Steve Dillon's artwork was sensational in its simplicity and beauty 15-20 years ago. The trouble is that it hasn't evolved or grown one f***ing iota since then and now just looks what it is - pedestrian, flat and totally uninspired. That Hulk face with the bullets in it? I've seen that exact same face on every character he's ever f***ing drawn! What a shame. Time to start having a look at what some of your 21st Century contemporaries are doing, Steve.
Has Bruce gone completely batshit? He mutated an entire island, killed hulks adoptive family, and set off another gamma bomb to become the hulk again. And does anyone know if banner survived being held up to that bomb by the hulk?
@ThePRez: This man said it before I could even log in to post about it. I was extremely disappointed with their re-launching the title. Again. The premise behind separating Banner from his psyche was compelling - but the way it was written has been choppy. From the tempo of the character interaction to the development of the medical procedure that Doom conducted - it all left me hoping Bruce Jones would swoop in and tell them how it's done.
even though I'm a fan of the new hulk series (thus far) and have always been a fan of the big green/grey/red giant but I'm not liking the art and ya hulk is getting a drax like appearance minus all the kick ass. not to mention that punisher looks down right metro, the exact opposite of everything he's ever been or should be. gun-toting hipster.
Well, I know what series is coming off my pull-list now.
I think I'll replace this one with Earth 2. I loved the Avengers movie but in the comic universe Marvel isn't doing much to win me over anymore. And I used to be hardcore Marvel.

you can't base anything off of anything you see in a deadpool comic, that stuff is so foolish and deadpool is such an overpowered underdeveloped character and as far as badassery, castle has deadpool by millions. He has no silly powers or inability to die but it would never keep him from shooting a gun at the hulk knowing it would only make him madder.
but again the art is not a fit for either hulk, or punisher, or any comic I'd want to read right now.
The cover is fantastic. While I've never been a Steve Dillon fan, his art has gotten much better then I remember. Maybe its the coloring? I dunno, but can't wait to see how Aaron intends to KEEP The Hulk angry for the entire arc.
Punisher looks cool with the beard but Hulk is under proportion. Word on the street is that Dillon is more suited for Independent books and was a hit with Preacher. However he should NOT draw super hero's.
