So I'm wondering if the inverted bad guys are the "Astonishing Avengers" that are so suppose to do battle with the Uncanny X-Men, kind of looks that way to me.

I'm sorry to say I didn't read Reminders Otherworld arc in U. X-force, wasn't part of the premise that Genesis became Apocalypse which lead to that particular dystopian future after his defeat?

Why is there a random cat on the cover?

This looks good. Not talking about the art. It's Tolerable at best. Anyways, Holy cow man does this battle look epic. I'm chairing for the "Villians" all the way. Anybody, does Sabretooth have adamantium?

The question should be why isn't there more random cats on comics covers.... Right now I'm cutting out picture of random cats and glueing them on comic covers......

Oh god not Kubert again. Atleast make the coloring in detail so that you can hide Adam's messy lines and weird body proportions. Oh well at least he isn't doing the final 2 issue which will more explosive actions done by Leinil Yu for #8 and lastly Jim Cheung for #9.

Marvel makes no money off the x-men movies have and doesn't want to promote them.

@teerack: Certainly not ticket sales but perhaps merchandise sales and it would be at the minimum a good time to push their own toy sales line, would have to look at contract. I would point out Electro and the Sentinels were featured in Spider Man and X-men series while those movies were in theaters.

Some of the fights going on in this book are really onw sided lol come on Iceman vs Carnage ?? Lol

do you really think that absolutely no one out there has gone to see an X-men movie and decided to start reading X-men comics afterwards?

@danhimself: Take ten seconds to think about the last 4 x-men movies and think about how what was happening in those movies had nothing syncing up with what was happening in the x-men back then.

I can't wait for this event and it's cross overs to be over. Although I do like the idea of ZenPool

Evan is one of my favorite X-Men and has been since Wolverine and the X-Men if they kill him off, and for a lousy cross over, I might cry.

@teerack: so? Doesn't matter....Marvel didn't do anything for their own movies...why would they do something for Fox's? There was still a ton of people that came out of those theaters and went and bought some X-Men books....it's the same as when we were all kids....how many people on this site have you seen that have said that the X-Men TAS or Evolution or Spider-Man TAS is what got them into comics?

That's actually wrong. There is a plot lining up to use the characters from the movies with every one of marvel's movies....

Unless you want to say it was a consequences that Spider-Man was facing the lizard the same week as ASM1 which is a movie marvel makes a ton of money off of since they own the merchandising rights.

@danhimself: We are pretty sure few people does (Fewer than a hundred, sometimes less) judging by the sales data after a film releases (Including those from 20th Century FOX, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios)

However, merchandising is another thing, that said what Disney/Marvel receives by the X-Men/FF Fox deal is not that much to actively do a marketing push. (Spider-man is another story since they own all the merch's rights)

Marvel do old X-men characters like Onslaught and Apocalypse some justice, in the next few years...
