First Look: A-FORCE #1

The lack of Sue Storm is... disturbing.

@cared13: She's right there. Invisible. But remember Johnny Storm is gonna play a big role with the Inhumans so this isn't a "Marvel hates the FF" thing.

Edit: One preview of this and I like Miss America already more than through the entirety of Gillens Young Avengers run.

Why is it Captain Marvel is the only one that gets to keep her redesign?

I really like the look of Singularity curious about her story and if she has some connection to Eternity.

@g_man: Sorry, I didn't know about that because I just started reading the 616 universe books since the Ultimate Universe will be gone and I loved Sue there.

Very Big OFF: Also if somebody could write/link me the main stuff/events from 1961 to Avengers Disassembled I would be thankful (besides ComicBookHerald). I'm started with reading the 1961 Fantastic Four and will stop around issue 60. After Marvel Season One, Kree/Skrull war, Secret Wars and finally Infinity Gauntlet Omnibus. Am I missing anything important? Only care about origins and important things that affects the current 616 universe.I really want to dig into current Marvel, this A-Force looks promising, Ultimate U missed this kind of stuff sadly (excep that 80's disco chick in the first row, wtf is with that?)

Didn't they announce at Chicago Con last weekend that this will be an ongoing after Secret Wars? I suspect it will be the "Female" Avengers title.

It was going to be called T and A-Force but the feminist became involved...I'll see myself out.

The "disco chick" is Dazzler; that's her original costume, but she hasn't worn it for years.

Classic unreachable level of tear proof eye liner for the most inflencable audience. Generations not able to recreate those standards it in real life are going to end up with a low self estime and a smaller ambitions.

I demand apologies from Marvel !

I'll pick this up. Those are some nice covers too. Really want that Adam Hughes one, but no doubt it'll be expensive.

If we have a team consisting purely of female characters, then why ain't there a team consisting purely of male characters? Hmmm? This is sexist! This is descrimination! My rights are being violated! I protest!!

Honestly this just seems like Marvels oversized Birds of Prey team, but I'll read it anyway, mostly cause I don't have Birds of Prey anymore :/

@johnny_blaze: Storm, Jubilee, Scarlet Witch, Jean, Dazzler, Rogue and Pixie are all on the cover Dazzler and Pixie are in the preview.

@man-thing-manic: @judasnixon: Dazzler has flight and levitation listed under her power set on her Comic Vine page. I can't recall her displaying such powers though...

So based on what we saw in The Black Vortex. the girl made of space is actually Kitty Pryde, yes?

Also Lady Loki?! That means that past versions of Loki are on the table for secret wars... which means....

I'll wait for the reviews.

Looks great, I like how Carol is fighting sharks again like she had to before in the 2013 run of Captain Marvel. Will definetely be getting this.

@feartheliving: After reading the conclusion to Black Vortex I am thinking she is connected to the end events of that story....maybe.

Sue Storm should be there though. She's the best

I hope this story will actually be about something, and not about how it is nothing but women. I think this won't be the case, so I hope it is good

I will happily do without a solo She-Hulk book to see her getting a leadership position in a group book. Considering how many groups she has been in over the years, and considering how smart she is, she is long overdue for a leadership position. I am looking forward to A-force!

I am looking forward to this book most out of them all, and I'm glad it will be continued past Secret Wars. As for Stephanie Hans, her variant is simply glorious. I want more and more of this artist, please.
