Excited. I can't wait to see the duality of this book, being that while really good friends, Gail and EVS are very different people, much like Ronnie and Jason.
Is it just me, or should there be a big wiki task to create separate pages for Ronnie and Jason? Thought about it a bit during Brightest Day, but now especially, it might be necessary.
Firestorm is one of the few Dc characters who i don't know much about..so i hope they completely start over
Wow Gail Simone...must read. The duality of the characters and her writing style for Secret Six could make this a very enjoyable and different type of read..Looking forward to it.

Firestorm is one of those characters that i'm somewhat unfamiliar with, so this should be at the very least interesting.

Will need to go back and read the older Firestorm stuff... Maybe?
You don't need to go back and read anything. This is a new concept they're creating for the character. No previous history exists. They're making Firestorm a whole new character with a whole new concept. Like they did with Superboy. It should be great. Its been really underrated but I think people will be surprised. They're building a universe around Firestorm like Geoff did with Green Lantern because EVS probably feels cheated for not getting credit for creating the Red Lanterns. Hopefully it pays off. Im getting this for Simone.

Quoting this because I have the same dilema. Anyone?
If you like Gail Simone get it. Its a different take on the Firestorm character. You might like it. Simone has a habit of injecting her style into characters. And Firestorm is getting completely rebooted. You might like this incarnation of Firestorm.
I never really liked Firestorm, he originated from Super Friends cartoon right? I might pick up the first issue since its by Gail Simone.
wow, I always thought Firestorm was a fan favorite, but alot of folks no little about him and alot of folks following the writer not the character
very interesting,
My problem is the exact oposite. I know who Firestorm is, I loved him back with it was Ronnie and the Professor. He had one of the best rogues gallaries anywhere. Not alot of people know characters like Killer Frost were actually Firestorm villains. Of course, my favorite character was Firehawk. The problem is, there is no longer a Professor. Firehawk is gone and quite frankly, the magic that made me love this character simply isn't there anymore.

On the other hand, I love Firestorm but find most of Gail Simone's plots to be somewhat, for lack of a better term, off. I really enjoy her characterizations and dialogue, but would love it if she handled that and let someone else plot her books. Just personal opinion, I still read her books, but don't enjoy them as much as I once did.
