My god, that Dejah art is AWFUL! Sorry, i don't usually mean to speak badly of artists but that looks like a poorly produced fanzine.

DEJAH THORIS: comic porn. That's all it is.

Dejah looks creepily like Whitney Cummings in those panels........ugh

All this talk about art and nothing about the story or dialogue.

It would have been funny is while in prison they had made Dejah wear some prison clothes.

I'm not against fan service, but this is just ridiculous. It needs to have some context.

The artist of WARLORD OF MARS could do with visiting the blog "Boobs Don't Work That Way". Could learn a few things.

@NightFang: Sorry, but one look at the art and I couldn't be bothered to actually read the dialogue. In that first couple of panels Dejah Thoris looks like a man/transvestite.

raceaddict- I believe the word is 'bouncy' not transvestite.

The strory sounds great! Very appealing. Thoris sounds like a good princess. Thisissue should do well.I

The art is not bad , but this looks like a fantasy softcore porn? I dunno, it seems as a seller for that type of audience.

Im sorry for asking this but it is just painful to restrain, this book sells on "art" alone no matter how good the story is. Sorry...it just...does.

holy crap, that artwork in Dejah Thoris is TERRIBLE. Reminds me of really bad porno web comics.

#11 Posted by BritishMonkey (322 posts) - - Show Bio

Dejah Thoris may as well just wear nothing, those nipple mask things or whatever make no difference

Wow bad art for that first comic. Hot woman though...

As I look at this, I think....Vamperella.

Yay! BOOBS

I get a little embarrassed looking at these scans. It's hard enough to pull out a awesome comic in public without being judged, why the hell would I pull this out at the coffee shop?

::Shakes head:: Won't even give answer to those that just have hangups about the art. It is what it is. Interesting cover for Lord of the Jungle though...looked like Rick Grimes a moment to me lol

I like how everybody keeps focusing so much in the nudity instead of the fact there is a Martian princess fighting vampires in Saturn -____-

I love the B movie premise and look in the Warlord of Mars comics.

#19 Posted by RaceAddict (33 posts) - - Show Bio

@BritishMonkey: If you read ERB's original works she was. Everyone on Mars was. The entire society just didn't feel the need to be clothed. People get all in a tizzy over the comics, but in that respect (at least) they are faithful to the century-old source material.

Now, how bad the execution is... that's another story. :(

The artwork really, really sucks this time.
