Exclusive Preview: SUPERGIRL #20

Supergirl and Power Girl in the same comic. It's a cool idea considering they're sort of the same character, only from different 'worlds.' EARTH 2 writer, James Robinson has said the unofficial rule is you can't have an Earth 2 and Earth Prime version of the same character. Clearly Power Girl is the exception to the rule.

Last issue, with all the craziness of last month's titles, we not only saw a confrontation between the two, but also the return of Power Girl's original costume. With issue 20 out next week, things aren't looking too good for Supergirl. Check out our exclusive preview courtesy of DC Comics.

That awkward moment when Power Girl is written a thousand times better outside of her own book...

Lets all take a second and be thankful for the return* of Power Girl's costume. *The New 52 update of the classic costume actually looks great.

Am I the only one who hates it when sub par interiors can't come close to matching fantastic cover art? I don't mind so much the fact that it's misleading the consumer; few individuals would but a book based solely on the cover art and nothing else. However, it does create a contrast in the mind of the reader wherein the interior art seems all the worse for the comparison.

Yup. I don't really find it awkward though, more hopeful.

Hopefully she keeps this outfit over her current one.

Yeah so that 5 page preview was at least as entertaining as all 12 Worlds' Finest issues so far.

I can't find any human way possible to see this comment as funny or logical, I can't even take it serious, why would say something like that? Why is people randomly saying things like that? I know the other costume wasn't good but why just stare at the boobs of a fictional character? Power girl is more than just boobs!

No, you're not.. imagine a covert by Alex Ross for and inside, the book is by Skottie Young, not that this art is bad or that Scottie's art is bad is just... the covert shouldn't be better than the actual book

If the rest of this book is anywhere close to as entertaining as this preview, I may have just found a new ongoing.

...unless they're actually going to kill one of them, in which case that would be stupid and I would go nowhere near this.

Supergirl's costume is still the most ridiculous thing I've seen in the new52, outside of Bronze Tiger being an actual tiger... Kal El gets battle armor and Supergirl gets a bikini? And are the boobs all people like about Powergirl? sheesh. I mean was it really that big of a deal that they covered them up?

I mean maybe you'd have a point if you just assume people can only like a character for one reason :P I always liked PG because she was so touch and kinda tomboyish. More then anything I feel like the biggest issue with new 52 PG is how girly she acts with all this celerity stuff.

Looks like it could be a pretty good issue. I think I will pick it up if I have the extra money. I wish World's Finest was this good cause then maybe I would give it a read.

This guy should write Worlds Finest, Supergirl hasn't been fantastic, but at least I can get into it without a rage-out. Worlds Finest is just so terrible and Power Girl is written to be a complete scatterbrain bimbo. In Supergirl, PG is written to be actually intelligent and witty.

Anyone else notice that PG's costume is slightly different in the interiors and on the cover (and in WF #12)

I'm buying anything with PG right now to support the costume switch. Plus, that cover is so over the top its amazing.

Not on my pull list, but I'll be getting this issue. Gotta love how people get all bent out of shape and pseudo-indignant about PG's boob window.

Love the cover. Almost as good as the other version where Power Girl is also in a Supergirl outfit.

- Look at that, a bit of actual comedy in a comic book.

- Additionally, i'm glad that cleavage girl has returned.

- I'll think about reading World's finest again to see her although i absolutely hate that book.
