@amazingfantasy: I don't buy it. One of those, no body, no death things. Since it appears the relationship between mother and daughter was strained, along with the little bombshell she was about to drop on Miguel, I'd bet she's still alive, recovering somewhere, hidden away by her mom for some crazy reason that will come back later. Maybe she paid off the hospital or somehow convinced them to not tell Miguel she's still alive. Doctor/Patient confidentiality? He's not family so they don't have to tell him anything?

@ultimatepower6: Seriously. Spider-Man's power levels have always frightened me a bit.

And Miguel is a lot more, I guess, aggressive when he attacks. Wouldn't be pretty for a regular non trained human to encounter a pissed Spider-Person.

But that's what makes Spidey (Peter) awesome to me. He's frightening.

Same with Clark.

@g_man: Yeah, I think you're on to something. It also doesn't seem like PAD to just off a character like that. Let's see where it goes.

@amazingfantasy: It does give Miguel a reason to get back into the suit since he was kind of determined to give it up. Now with a huge "loss," he's out for vengeance or whatever. Then he'll find out she's still alive and angry at him for supposedly abandoning her and all that drama.

@g_man: Yeah, it also seems that (possible ASM1 spoilers) Miguel will be going through a dark path now. His story in ASM1, that's supposed to introduce us to the new status quo, sure showed us that. But Peter helped him, so he 'retired' and focused on being happy with Tempest. However, now she's "gone"... So it makes sense he'd go dark again. This works with your theory.

I feel sad about Tempest, but I have a feeling Miguel might try to use the Time Door to prevent her death.

BTW, didn't Miguel change his name to Mike O'Mara when he got stranded in 2014?

This. Absolutely no way he won't try or consider this. Yes, he'll get dark for a bit but his endgame will be bringing Tempest back not pure revenge.

@ligier86: He changed his name when he worked for Alchemax so that in the future the company would't have two Miguel O'Hara's on record. Now that Miguel works for Parker Industry he doesn't really need the pseudonym any more.
