Man this looks really good, I kind of wish I knew more about Smallville, because this looks like a really interesting alternative continuity. Almost like DC's version of the Ultimate Universe.
@captainmarvel4ever: all you need to know is it continues from the TV show, Smallville. Start from the beginning digitally or in trades.
This is awesome, is that Anti Monitor or Atomic Skull? Looks like him, lol. I like Ollie's new costume, more high tech.
I like the New 52 cues, GA's new costume looks like a combination of GA and Simon Baz's suit combined some what.
And how Red Tornado is a chick like Earth 2 Lois.
Note to self: catch up on Smallville
Face makeup to protect his identity. This way, nobody even knows he's a white guy.
Speaking of costumes in this: Supergirl's is AMAZING. My favorite version of the costume ever. Love that it's more Kryptonian-influenced than Clark, it makes for a good comparison of the differences between the two. Nightwing's is great too. I love Smallville.

neither...some sort of super Monitor that they deployed when it looked like they were losing
the Smallville Red Tornado is actually Tess Mercer

it's just part of his costume...it's a heavy armor suit to face off against the Monitors
@danhimself: Yeah but the face-covering isn't some heavy armor only thing. He always has it - just to clarify.

you're right....I never noticed it before...they even show it here
@danhimself: Hah, yeah, I was literally looking for that exact page to show it but you found it first. I think it's cool and kinda makes sense for a slightly more realistic take on Batman as he's still getting started.
@danhimself: Oh that's tess? So she created a suit for her program? Interesting. Or someone did. How do you know this though since the this info hasn't been released? But thanks. lol
@nightfang: EDIT: Nevermind, I looked it up and you're right. That sucks! I hate that this is ending. Not looking forward to ANY of the new digital series DC announced.
@fallingcliffs: The stuff with Tess has already happened, although recently.
@brinkthemoviemyfavoritemovie: Wait is Smallville digital too now? Cause I buy them via print monthly(maybe that's why) Digital comes out like a month ahead or few weeks right?
@fallingcliffs: Oh yeah, digital is how I've read it from the start. Every Friday!
@brinkthemoviemyfavoritemovie: Oh cool, every friday? That's cool. I have so much stuff to read lol so I just pick up my stuff weekly from the shop. Though for MK i'll be buying digitally and in print lol once that hits.
It's sad see this series coming to an end.
when was this announced?

the digital chapters are further along than the print books....she 3D printed herself a new body last week
@fallingcliffs: Yeah, you get a nice chunk of story every week this way so I like it digitally. Getting the physical release is like a couple of the digital ones collected, I'm pretty sure.

Massive bummer.

that sucks!!! this was my favorite DC book
@johnny_blaze: @danhimself: I figured they were going to have to end some digital titles to make room for the newly announced ones. I hate that this had to be one of them though.
@brinkthemoviemyfavoritemovie: that sucks man :( '
@danhimself: Ahh ok cool. So every week digitally they show more and more but monthly it's like a few weeks into a book. Gotcha.
@brinkthemoviemyfavoritemovie: what are the new ones? At least there's still Injustice
@danhimself: Yeah everyone loves Injustice so that's not going anywhere. The new ones are Mortal Kombat X, Fables: The Wolf Among Us, and Wonder Woman '77 (which I worry will replace the still-new Sensation Comics, which I love for the most part).

damn I'm not really interested in any of those....I guess I'll check out Mortal Kombat but it's going to have to be really really good
@teerack: Well you would have no idea what you're talking about, then.
(Also: I love how you're apparently able to determine this from three half-pages. Troll much?)

The reason smallville was good was because it had losts of super elements without being just normal super hero stuff. It was really grounded in a real world setting. This just looks like another typical comic book worth with the smallville brand slapped on it since everyone is in full costumes and fighting giant robot monsters which is something Clark would never fight in the show.
Calling someone a troll because you don't agree with their opinion makes you an idiot.
@teerack: Was there ANYTHING that made Smallville good to begin with? I kid but it was ten seasons of underwhelming. After two seasons I've given up on Arrow too.
The CW should not be allowed to adapt comic books.
@bloggerboy: As a huge Superman fan it saddens me to agree with you. I just could not get into Smallville at all. Arrow I still enjoy quite a bit. It really is a good show and they do pretty good things even though it can get heavy on the drama and wishy washy on the acting (I'm looking at you, Sarah and Roy).
From what I understand the Smallville comics are pretty solid though. More Superman than Smallville.
Cool cover.

But isn't it cool how they made a show about the Punisher? And I really like how he uses a boy instead of guns. /arrow joke.
Woah, they're making Fables:Wolf Among Us comic?! Oh man you know I'll admit them cancelling Smallville comic sucks for sure but still, no other comic book series will come close to 10 years and a year+ comic. So it had an excellent run!
But we all know Fables Wolf Among Us is a great game, story and MK X will be awesome so I'm betting those comics will be boss!
Between them and Gotham at midnight, with Spectre i'm so excited!
But for those saying Smallville wasn't good, disagree...the show lasted 10 years(tell me AOS or something will come close and I will laugh) told a solid, yet realistic but kept it fictional story of Clark what he experienced or an idea at least unlike anything before that point and was very entertaining. The comic is also awesome, the only thing I didn't like personally was when they killed Bart, other than that it's one of my favorite DC titles and comics in general. But always going to be haters I suppose...*shrugs*
