Exclusive Preview: RED HOOD AND THE OUTLAWS #18

Jason Todd has had it tough. In the New 52 Universe and before, he had a pretty cruddy life. Getting killed by the Joker didn't make things any easier. He did manage to come back to life but after the events of Death of the Family, we find out things are getting much worse.

In a last bit of revenge, Joker pulled a final prank on Jason. Now we'll get to see the results in the next issue. DC Comics has given us an exclusive preview for issue 18. Find out what Scott Lobdell has planned in his final issue.

Unsure of what to keep reading since I cannot read everything, trying to judge the bat books based on their own performances rather than how they tie in with Death of the Family or Requiem... and Red Hood is looking BAD ASS.

Ah... Okay, not so good for Jason... I recall that two-page spread cover for issue 20, was it? The other half had a Joker-esque face which I'm guessing is actually Jason's... :|

It's a pretty cool series. I definitely recommend it

The art certainly seems better than it has been in awhile

The art is looking better. I do hope this Joker stuff doesn't drag out too much longer. I know its important to Jason's backstory, but I'd like to see some other adventures.

When was Tynion IV supposed to take over for Lobdell? I really want to see what he does with Red Hood as I do like Talon and his Batman backups.

I really like this series, it's fun and a little dark. Joker is a dick....now Jason is going to look like the Joker poor guy.

Definitely picking this up

This is Lobdell's final book on RHatO. Looks like it will also be his best. Wow.

I'm liking the art more in this issue than I have the previous ones with Green's art. I'm really hoping that Lobdell delivers a great finale to his run on the book.

This story looks like it has a degree of promise, so let's hope that Lobdell manages to end his run on this series on a high; it has been largely mediocre thus far. I also don't really understand why they'd shoe-horn it in as a 'Requiem' book, either, given that its only focus, really, should be Jason given what's happened to him.

Wow this art is beautiful, Red Hood is one of the few books I've stuck with in new 52 and I'm glad I did. This looks fantastic, really looking forward to Tynion too.

Agreed. His style reminds me a lot of Roccafort's.

Kenneth Rocafort's art is something you're proud that you bought because it's so well drawn. Timothy Green on the other hand... let's just say I can't wait untill Mico Suayan takes over.

Man, I'm not a big Jason Todd fan, but I really feel for him. He doesn't deserve all this crud!

I hope he doesn't lose his face.

C'mon......start over or not DC! I just wish DC would go one way or the other because this mix and match continuity on most of their titles, is making me drop books off the ole'Pull-list plank like they had scurvy. I'm so conditioned now to accept a big time reversal of continuity or character origins, by Marvel and DC, that NOW and NEW are SAME and DONE. Tinkering with the characters is paramount to comic books evolving and changing and getting fresher/newer/nower........but, taking the physical symbol of The Joker's origin and slapping it on Jason Todd just doesn't sit well with me. The Joker is great in small, violent and mayhem infused doses, however, large quantities of Mr. J. leads to electric toothbrushes and Joker under-roos. Now more than ever Red Hood is obviously going to focus on killing the Joker (and just when he was speading his black wings of course) for the acid facial thereby effectively switching nemesis' with Batman and the whole Zero Year and its disturbingly obvious foreshadowing..........

Wow, that looks pretty good, and the art really hooks you in. So tempted now...

unfortunately Mico is only doing two issues as of this point. He might do more, but we wont know until he says so or the solicits show that he is back on the title. As of now, he is only drawing issues 19 and 20

Jason time as red hood should be over,...it's time for azrael knight to begin. great time for bat armor to come back. that was a very cool look,and perfect for jason to use....Wingman look must be forgotten from our minds...Wingman ....wow !
