I dropped off after Ellis and Shalvey split. This looks awesome though. Might pick this one up.

@longbowhunter: You really shouldn't have dropped it. The transition between teams was more-or-less seamless. If I were reading the entire series so far collected into one TPB, I probably wouldn't have even noticed the change in writer.

@lagozzino: Hmm...good to know. I'll either pick it back up in singles or wait for the trade.

@longbowhunter: Issue #7 was a pretty fun issue. A mercenary is in town and Moon Knight chases him down New York, the issue lookes pretty great and the story was a lot of fun. Haven't read #8 though.

This looks GREAT! Cant wait to get my hands on it. The new team is doing a bang up job, I'm sorry I ever doubted them.

Dropped it after issue 6 when the creative team changed. I had picked it up mainly because of Ellis, and looks like I may look into it again.

@idontlikebirds: Definitely pick it back up man. Issue 8 was probably one of the best, and definitely most interesting, comics I've read all year.

Anyone else find it odd that Moon Knight, criticized as being "Batman-lite": 1) loses his morally ambiguous sidekick, who comes back from the dead years before the resurrection of Jason Todd, 2) cuts off Raoul Bushman's face, and then the Joker loses his, and 3) now has a shrink who has deep knowledge of his identities and who is an antagonist (Hugo Strange)? I'm not saying writers are plagiarizing from one another or that one character is inferior or superior to the other... Just weird coincidences.

@neghead: wow. Didn't know that. He reminds me of a Batman who doesn't need to hide his psychoses. I like MK but this book made me love the character.

@neghead:

I don't think there is any coincidence about it. It seems pretty clear that both franchises "borrow" a great deal from each other in one form or another. Heck a few artists and writers have even worked on both titles.

At the end of the day both characters are just borrowed from The Shadow anyway.
