I'm looking forward to read it

I don't really have high hopes for this book. I think DC would of been smarter in making this book similar to Moon Knight dealing with more darker creepier saga's. From the two previews it seems he will fight nothing but aliens and his personality seems it takes some getting used to.

Other than wearing black he's nothing like Batman.

@br_havoc: Also the fact that.... DC has been IGNORING pretty much any and all Wildstorm characters for the past couple years... And others have been bastardized, need I mention how they ruined Mr. Majestic and Stormwatch? Grifter was the only one that I cared about to any degree and that was mostly due to the fact I found the plot genuinely interesting.... The writing could have been better, but still.

Although I liked more Apollo, this is very interesting! I will give it a try!

I was hoping for a Mr Majestic series but after I saw what they did to him in the new 52 Deathstroke I guess there isn't much hope for his return, I mean it kind of makes sense they don't want anyone competing directly with Superman, but still for fans of Majestic it sucks.

Looking good. Definitely looking forward to this one.

@machomustachio: It´snt 100% copy of Batman exept being gay. It´s like Deathstroke and Deadpool, both being similiar and one characther is somewhat parody of other but they have unique traits. Also Apollo follows the same case, he isnt just a copy of Superman.

@vitalius: Yeah. That's a major misconception.

Midnighter and Apollo are more like Classic Lobo; in that they are extremes.

Midnighter is an extreme look at Batman's always being prepared and 100 moves ahead, by literally being 1,000 moves ahead strategically.

Apollo is extreme look at Superman being basically being a Solar powered God, by Literally being a sun god right down to his name.

@guardiandevil83: Unfortunately one of many comic´s misconception. But their personalities are very different, at least comparing with Stormwatch and Grayson.

@vitalius: Yeah. Midnighter to me is more like Punisher in personality. He Loves kicking ass!

I remember his first solo comic was all about that. He even felt the need to find who he was because he felt bad about not feeling bad about killing people. Lol

Putting aside all the comments from people who have no idea who Midnighter is and can only differentiate him from other existing characters by highlighting his sexual orientation, penchant for wearing black, and the fact that his powers aren't super active like most DC characters, this preview's got me excited. I've always loved Midnighter, and even though he's always been a separate character from Batman in literally every single way, it looks like Orlando plans on going the route of the classic "over-the-top" Midnighter.

Midnighter was described to me as a Batman analogue who is gay and in a relationship with the Superman analogue Apollo, both of which are in the group called Stormwatch, there ends the my knowledge of the character. So as he looks interesting, I was wondering if he actually was from the people who would know best, my fellow Comicvine users.

I always check out Midnighter stuff and it always ends with me confused by the appeal of this character. I just can not care about Midnighter. The paneling in this book is awesome looking though.

@teerack: I always pick up a book with Midnighter in it and I always end up a little confused myself. I guess I just have to settle for the greatness that was The Authority by Ellis.

Think the writer said he just wanted him to be single, so he is. He has said that Apollo is endgame.
