Why doesn't the editor get off their lazy behind and trim some of the fat from from Ann's scripts there is way too much dialog on each page and it seems like the characters are just rambling or there internal monologue is being written like they are saying it out loud.

That dialogue...ugh.

I'm so glad that Lemire took Nocenti place on Green Arrow. Dat dialogue...

@nightfang: wells Shun's dialogue is just plain bad i dont know if she has broken english or something but its awful the rest of it is just undisciplined writing and plotting like these Yakuza guys are trying to have conversation with this chick while she is filling them with bullets

I read this preview and all I can say is WOW! DC needs to give Ann Nocenti a bigger character. It was such a pity they took this brilliant writer off of Green Arrow and they are cancelling Katana. Hopefully DC will be ever so nice and keep Ann on Catwoman or maybe give her a higher profile character like Batman, Superman, or Wonder Woman. :P

Every line she writes is like the character is some jerk who just randomly butted into your intimate conversation with a joke or fact that only he/she thinks is going to be hilarious or interesting to everyone.

Not a fan of the art in this book. Katana is a character with a pretty cool design. But so far every image I've seen from her series has made her look incredibly weird and misshapen.

And the writing...well... Not a fan.

hope you're trolling, green arrow got a whole lot better since she left it.

How did it last this long?

How does Ann's writing get past so many people in the editorial department? They obviously know that there are issues with her writing (hence her replacement by Jeff of Green Arrow and the inclusion of Geoff Jones Justice league #7 in her 3rd arrow trade) yet they haven't sat her down and said "Ann, we need to talk about your writing" ? It just baffles me. As for this issue, nope didn't get any of what was being said.

I'm making $86 an hour working from home. I was shocked when my neighbour told me she was averaging $95 but I see how it works now. I feel so much freedom now that I'm my own boss. This is what I do,...WWW.JUMP85.COM

@kazekaine1: I am trolling. I do agree. Her writing is God awful and Green Arrow has been amazing with Jeff and Andrea. I can't wait till the day she gets taken off of Catwoman so I can finally buy a book about of my favorite characters without having my IQ be lowered while doing so.

had to force my self to get through a few of her catwoman issues and then i just stop it was just bad. i've seen fanfiction that better than her writing

Are those dudes being shot superhuman or something? Why are they talking casually when they should be dead?

I'm also not liking the art here.

So... are they just standing there letting her speak that entire long-winded diatribe before she starts shooting, or does she speak the whole thing while continuously spraying the room with bullets, most likely stopping to reload twice?

God, this was a bad series.

glad to see the art has improved but...why not just let ann nocenti write this and bring judd winick back to catwoman??

I like that cover a lot but I have no real interest in picking this up.

@kazekaine1: I read reviews, read previews, and after seeing Comic Vine actually giving her Joker's Daughter comic a 1 star I decided I wasn't going to give her Catwoman a chance. I feel bad you had to read through her Catwoman comics.
