Okay okay okay okay okay… what?!
I mean, okay… Rose ending up going with Deathstroke was a theory I had myself, though I’m not sure how I feel about it, since, well, he’s not exactly a good guy, and I was kind of hoping Rose would steer away from the villainous path, and maybe make up with Caitlin. I’m not exactly sure what this means for her character development in the future, since this probably means she’s likely to continue with the whole remorseless killing shtick they’ve got her hopped up on in the reboot, considering she’s with her dad now.
That being said, it does appear as though they’re going to be working together with what remains of Team 7 for something of a good cause… trying to stop this Majestic god, so maybe we’ll see Rose start to, I don’t know, not be such a cold blooded bitch anymore? And maybe some kind of meaningful father/daughter bonding?
Not sure how the cover is supposed to play out in this issue… could just be misleading and have nothing to do with the story, since not only would it not fit considering that Majestic is the enemy they’re trying to stop, not Deathstroke, but the story was likely changed to meet demands once the book got cancelled.
I’m rather curious now to see exactly how The final two issues of The Ravagers plays out in this case, though, since it looks as though Deathstroke accepting Harvest’s contract was a Team 7 plan and that he ended up double crossing Harvest in some way.
Oh, and yeah… WTF is Terra doing there?! I mean… yeah I get the whole pre-boot Judas Contract thing, so in a weird sort of way it makes sense, but what reason could she possibly have for leaving behind Beast Boy and teaming up with Rose, of all people? Last time they met, Terra wanted to eviscerate her something awful.
Note to self: Read The Ravagers #11 BEFORE Deathstroke #19 to know WTF is going on.
