Zero Year month is underway and what better chance is there to find out more about Catwoman's past? That's what we're going to get next month as John Layman writes a story about an early adventure in Selena's career. We'll definitely have to check this out.

Prediction: the best selling Catwoman issue in over 2 years.

Think if enough people buy this, DC might put Layman on the title full-time? Because I'm willing to buy a dozen of this issue if that's even a remote possibility.

A Catwoman issue with the Dodsons on the cover a decent artist for interiors and a writer that isn't Nocenti? I am on board for this! I love the character, but I couldn't handle Nocenti's writing and dropped it back in the spring. If they'd replace her already I'd be glad to pick it up again.

is Nocenti off the title completely or just for this issue?

if she's off completely then I'll probably start reading it again but I don't see the point in getting excited for one issue only for the book to go back to being the worst book ever with the next issue

Unfortunately as for as I know, Nocenti will write the next three comics that will follow.

Yeah, I check the solicits every month hoping my prayers will be answered and they'd give Selina a new writer, but sadly they never are. I don't think DC will keep Nocenti on forever. Especially if this Zero Year tie in does better than the normal issues.
I liked Judd Winnick's work on this title, but sadly he moved on and now we are left with whatever Nocenti is doing.
