I don't think canceled is the right word. I think ending is. Valiant seems to end things, save X-O at 25 issues. I think they limit themselves to how many books they put out.

@fallschirmjager: so does that include bloodshot. It 25th anniversary is coming up

@holyserpent: Yes and no. Its ending but its being relaunched. Lemire is going to write him.

Valiant doesn't cancel anything. The story just ends. It's a brilliant idea that keeps writer and artists fresh, and steers away from repetitiveness that bogs down a lot of publishers these days

Valiant is playing it right!

On one hand there's no market for Valiant to have 10 ongoing series plus a few minis at a time so they need to pace themselves and on the other hand sending some established characters and their series on vacation while introducing new characters helps to keep the Valiant Universe the most exciting there is at the moment. Besides, all the new and upcoming releases are so exciting you won't even miss the other titles and characters. And then there's always the next Summer of Valiant!

I agree that the upcoming books look great. What are you looking forward to the most?

@jonny_anonymous: Kindt and Lemire are some of my favorite writers and I'm a sucker for mini series so I'm really stoked about The Valiant and especially The Divinity. The latter seems to be right up my alley based on its solicit -- Kindt writing a Sci-Fi story that's taking place during the Cold War -- it can't get any better really; also I'm learning Russian at the moment. Lemire & Bloodshot (:Reborn) could be another deadly combo. And there's no reason not to be excited about Ivar/TW or Imperium, either. And you?

Oh, and Punk Mambo of course!

Haha pretty much nailed it for me. Divinity sounds great and pretty unique for the Valiant universe.

All the new titles are awesome.
