Can someone explain to me why loki is back to his original self?

So the androgynous Loki is an avatar for the real Loki? I want to read this but I can't get passed emo Loki.

@iaconpoint: @master_thief: Old Loki has never went away, he's been building a plan since when he died during Siege. Also Young Loki isn't in the least bit emo.

Loki you bloody genius! Reminds me of the fake out on EMH when he allowed Thor to in prison him in order to take the Odin Force.

Same here. I need to get to reading his Journey into Mystery run so I can get the full effect of this because it's still a tad confusing.

@jonny_anonymous: Why are there two Loki's since he return at the end of Journey into Mystery?

I love Loki. He looks rediculous as a youngster. But at least it's beautifully rendered.

Don't get me wrong here. I have absolutely no problem with androgynous people. I actually am an avid supporter of people being whomever they are. But it's Loki! It is a character that I have been a huge fan of for years. It just doesn't fit the character very well in my opinion. I feel conflicted about all of this. The artwork looks amazing.

1. That cover is brilliant.

2. Not reading this though, as it seems like it's just banking in on Hiddleson's Loki fame and after reading the first issue, I wasn't too impressed.

I haven't been reading this but I feel like the two loki's thing is a cop out. It really does seem like they want to cash in on Hiddleston's Loki but have the original Loki there just to say see your comic loki is here too.

That's not really how it works. There isn't really 2 per say.

Why does Loki look so Young?

@jonny_anonymous: it's Loki and his Avatar. My issue is that his Avatar doesn't match how I would picture it.

I'm still kinda confused with the "Old Loki" and "current Loki" and "Kid Loki" thing... But I'm loving this book so far otherwise :P

The young Loki in this series is the Loki from the end of Journey Into Mystery, the piece of old Loki(Ikol) that overwrote Kid Loki and took his body. The old Loki in this series(that appeared at the end of issue #1) hasn't been explained yet. So issue #3 might provide more enlightenment on that subject. Al has been very tight lipped about it. It may or may not actually be old Loki?
