As someone who didn't read Avengers Arena (or planning to read this book), but liked her appearance in Annihilation, how is Cammi doing? Does she have powers or abilities of any kind now? Is that her with the yellow knives that look to be emitting some sort of energy? Also, did they ever say in Arena why she was chosen to be in the group since she was non-powered or really part of any 'hero' group on earth?

@cap10nate: Cammi is pretty much kicking ass. One of my favorite characters of AA. As far as I know she doesn't have any powers, just tech and guile

Nice use of teen villains from a variety of sources and ages. I see Excavator (Nice Runaways Vol. 2 throwback), Coat of Arms, Egghead, Executioner (all from Young Avengers: Dark Reign), Black Knight (Vengeance IIRC), Snot, and Mudbug (courtesy of Aaron's Wolverine and the X-Men). I'm pretty hyped for this.

@cap10nate: Cammi's seems to be doing pretty well these days. She reconnected with her mom, who apparently wasn't dead but was an alcoholic (which she just gave up 3 in-universe months prior to the first issue), and seems to be more or less unharmed by Arena. She doesn't have any abilities that we've seen, just loads of alien tech. Her arsenal consists of a jetpack, alien daggers, ocular implants of some variety, and, of course, her space suit (she had a laser gun but Chase broke it in the penultimate issue of Avengers Arena). No in universe reason was given for why she was picked by Arcade, but given his prelude focus issue, she probably just happened to fit the parameters Ms. Coriander set up for the teleporter. Her lone wolf status and distance from super teams is probably why she, like Death Locket and Red Raven, got nabbed.

@teerack: At the end of Avengers Arena, Hazmat doesn't need the suit anymore

I didn't see anything about that at the end of AA. She blew up at the end and they showed her crying at the end with Pym.

Some great "young" characters with a great story, plus anytime I get to see Constrictor I'm pumped.

@jonny_anonymous: Is she? I thought she was at least 13 when she debuted back in Guardians of the Galaxy or whatever. Then at least 2 years passed between then and now making her around 15. She's definitely one of the younger characters (Cullen is also 15 and Death Locket is most likely 13 or 14), but I don't think she's 10.

@raggedscarecrow: She was ten when she first appeared in Annihilation and it hasn't been 2 years since then in comics because characters don't age.

@jonny_anonymous: Really? She doesn't seem ten years old? I'd say that judging by her dialogue and bigass back tattoo. She was quite a bit older than 10.
