Exclusive Cover Reveal: UNCANNY AVENGERS #19 and UNCANNY AVENGERS ANNUAL

There's been some craziness going on in the pages of Rick Remender's UNCANNY AVENGERS. We've seen some deaths and it looks like the mutants on Earth are being transported to Planet X, the new mutant homeworld.

Marvel has given us an exclusive first look at the cover to UNCANNY AVENGERS #19 (the solicit to 18 mentioned Janet Van Dyne being the last human on Planet X and being protected by her husband, Havok...). The cover is by Agustin Alessio.

We'll have to wait for the official synopsis to be revealed.

I've been reading Uncanny Avengers in graphic novel-form whenever they come out, and I've been thoroughly enjoying it so far. Looks interesting to me.

Or it could be taking place after the current story. I don't think any of the deaths will stick, and will be undone by time travel. The kid on the cover must be Havok and Wasp's daughter, who he was talking to at the beginning of issue #14.

Is Remender writing the Annual?

@novemberx2: The difference is that she's not a mutant! She wasn't born with powers and when she became Wasp it was her suit that had powers. But eventually Hank Pym altered her genetics to have powers with Pym particles. So, she's probably more superhuman than anything else.

@thecheesestabber: Please do not jump into the conclusions. Covers have always been misleading. Do you remember when Storm was kissing Cyclops in X-Men? And it turned out to be from a different dimension/earth. Or even worst X-23 kissing Cyclops in All-New X-Men? It turns out that Cyclops was just feeling bad for her and when to go help her and it was mislead to Cyclops having a crush on her.

Funny thought: even though it is completely unlikely, the child of Scarlet Witch and Ghost Rider would probably have the power to literally end all life on earth. Then that child could go and smack around Mephisto because I hate that jerk.

3 Ghost Rider appearances/books in April? Hells yeah! Either there's a movie we don't know about or the early 90s are back. The other monsters are the icing on the cake. Midnight Sons as Dark Avengers? That's a book I'd buy monthly.

Janet's costume looks like some weird combo of her original and Yellow Jacket.

Maybe Wanda went to hell when she died since she was channeling some heavy duty magic. Ghost Rider was the one to wriggle Wolverine out when he got sent there and there seems to be a theme of satanic, mystical, or otherworldly characters surrounding the Uncanny Avengers.

Looks like Rogue still has a sourpuss face, they've managed to make her so unlikable in her treatment of Wanda. Meanwhile, she's been taking orders from Cyclops who had been reduced to ordering up hits for years. After she slept with Gambit. And Magneto. I find it a little hard to believe she doesn't even realize her own hypocrisy.

Is Satanna just straight-up topless on that first cover? Because that's really the only way to go from what little consists of her costume already.

Yes, the Rogue/Magneto relationship has always been creepy for that reason. Especially when they did it in AoA where in the prologue Rogue joins the team as a teenager and is treated like a younger sister by Wanda, then flash foward to the main events of the story and Rogue and Magneto are married and have a son.

I cannot wait for this! Considering how recently Wanda re-entered continuity, I find it very unlikely her death will be any significant length of time. Especially since there was an entire limited series dedicated to her return.

Also, as much as i'm loving the current arc, I'm ready for it to end, mostly because of how pumped I am for the next arc

cant wait for this. Remender's killing it. A whole lot better than the crap we get from Bendis and Aaron. The critics cant recognize good writing
