Strange that it's a winter special and not Halloween but cool either way.

@jonny_anonymous: yeah, the dating makes it even more confusing. Would you recommend 2000ad atm? Might use the current jumping on point of prog 900 to get into it. I'd be worried that the IDW series would "Americanise" Judge Dredd, so I decided to go with the original.

@maccyd: Yeah but it's pretty hard to keep up with since it's weekly, you could try the Judge Dread Megazine instead.

@jonny_anonymous: It's actually reviving the Summer and Winter Specials 2000 AD used to publish every year - the Summer one was a great success for us this year, so we're continuing the tradition! The date is purely because that's pretty equidistant between the summer special and Christmas!

@maccyd You should totally jump on board - Prog 1900 was the perfect issue and is available digitally from our webshop or iPad app. Comic book stores can also order it via Diamond!

@molch-r: Will 2000 AD ever consider an Android app? I know you can still get digital comics from the webshop, but it'd be easier from an app.

@j_hickmanisgod Both! Same as 2000 AD and the Judge Dredd Megazine - in print from comic book stores (it was in Previews), DRM-free digital direct from 2000 AD, and from the 2000 AD iPad app.

Loving the return of the Specials, every issue I read right now makes me wish I'd never stopped reading it in my twenties, I hate having those missing years in my collection.
