After making his first appearance in issue #7, Catwoman's new partner in crime 'Spark' is helping her take on Gotham City. The question is, will Spark help keep her out of trouble, or is this new guy more trouble than he is worth?

The eighth issue of CATWOMAN is set to hit stores on April 18th, 2012. Check out a sneak preview of the upcoming issue below.

== TEASER ==
Catwoman has a new running buddy named Spark, and together, they're taking Gotham City – literally! And when these two thieves team up, it's twice the haul and twice the trouble. Electricity is in the air...

i got a chance to read the last few issues and this title isnt that bad. i thought it would be a super chick title but it has some fun elements to it.

i still wont buy it on a monthly basis but i am going to buy the night of the owls tie-in its going to have to do with the penguin so i think this issue is stting that up

Not sure of the quality of the title but that art is outstanding.

Seems SOMEONE is jealous there. That's an angry menage waiting to happen! But seriously, the art looks awesome, the story is wonderful silly banter, what's not to like?

"what I don't like is Spark..."

'He's a good guy..."

"He's a THIEF."

... and you hang out with Selina because...?

Hmm I may drop Catwoman, one more issue then I decide.

This is a SEVERELY underrated title. Too many people look at this and go "Oh, lots of sexy and violence. This must be a shallow book trying to ride the tide of sex and violence." But it really isn't. It's definitely one of the more emotionally intense series' DC's putting out. A lot of the sex and violence is part of a deeper notion of the character's struggle to overcome her psychological addiction, despite knowing full well how stuck she is. Certainly a lot less shallow than Johns' Justice League or Manapul's frantic Flash. Not that either of them have been truly awful series (latest Justice League non-withstanding), just highly overrated ones.

Haven't read this comic so I can't say much, but it looks like it doesn't have what the previous Catwoman comic had. I really liked that comic. This one I don't know. Not a fan for the cover art or inside art.

If it is we're both in the wrong, that was the only reason I picked up #1, without it I can't even find the energy to read this preview.......

Would probably sell better with more sexy controversial moments.

Yeah thats what made the comic interesting. Just reading about Catwoman on random adventures where she steals stuff and tries not to get caught is pretty boring. I keep buying it but it's not keeping me interested. Sometimes I look at the cover and say to myself, "I'll read this later."

The art ...... <3

This is pretty much how I felt after issue 3 or so.

I'm not following this title but is it weird that Selina is acting... childish? I mean usually she over-thinks things. Here it seems like she's a high school girl.

This title is pretty bad, but for some reason I can't seem to drop it.

Aside from the controversial things the title did the biggest flaw for me is the randomness of the book. Selina witnesses her ally being brutally killed. She vows to work alone and does. But after that she has this other fence/informant that helps her out.

And now Selina is working with this Spark dude and visually he seems like the male version of the chick Kyle confronted a few issues ago.

She's stuck in her addiction to the adrenaline rush of danger. She's witnessed the vicious cycle, but feels helpless to escape it. It's why she's in her 'emotionally troubled' fetal pose that moment where she reveals her identity to her new fence. Deep down she knows she's probably going to get her killed as well, but there's nowhere else she can go.

Looks like a fairly interesting issue. Maybe I'll pick it up (despite having read none of the series so far)

I ❥ Catwoman! Fun book great art.

Selina 'matured' over the course of Batman RIP , Gotham City Sirens etc ...but with this title, it kinda undo her change.

I am still waiting for her to be involved with something big , rather than some random jobs. Night of Owls is coming though and next issue might give us the solid path.

Art is quite nice. It can get gritty but also can be pretty which is good to have. I guess the title kinda suffers from the introduction of so many new characters and how they fit in Catwoman's world.

Melo was only supposed to fill in for this issue, but started an issue early. Personally, as much as I've enjoyed Melo's fill in work, I can't wait till March comes back on interiors...

I guess I should start picking this up. Already added all the crossovers of Night of Owls in my pull list. Guess If I like #9, I'll start from there. This looks fun.

So do I. I like he at least does the cover work still. I miss him doing the whole issue. I hope he comes back. Melo's art isn't bad, I just think March did a better job on this title.

Spark seems like a mimbo. They're a pair of airheads the way Winick's writing them both.

This book seriously needs another writer.
