Hopefully you've been reading the BATMAN '66 series. You have your choice of either reading the Digital First format or the printed versions. For the printed issue #4, Jeff Parker is taking the 60s version of Batman to London. DC has given us an exclusive first look at the variant cover by Chris Sprouse and Karl Story.

BATMAN '66 #4

Batman and Robin head to 1960s London to take on The Mad Hatter! When the Caped Crusader hears that hats are being stolen from England's famous Beefeaters, he knows it can only be the work of Jervis Tetch. But something's also amiss at Big Ben. Could the Clock King be up to his old tricks?

Writer: Jeff Parker

Artist: Jonathan Case

Cover Artist: Michael Allred

Variant Cover Artist: Chris Sprouse, Karl Story

Already read the Mad Hatter story digitally. It's certainly worth the price, fantastic stuff.

Can't wait for the Clock King story and I really like this "Two parts for the main story and then one back up tale" format. Really works digitally, which is where this series really shines.

@decoyelite: Thank you for the info. I have been really enjoying Batman Beyond digitally, but I was a little hesitant about this one. Sounds like I should give it a try. Thanks, once again.

Love that! So psyched for this issue! I may splurge for the Sprouse cover, even if I do like Allred's more.

originally based on the actual comics Hatter; there is a second Mad Hatter with a 'tache who they used as the blueprint for the TV if I'm not mistaken. The original goofy Mad Hatter appeared first and why they went with a different one and then switched back again I don't know. Anyone know?

Wait, wait, Not that I have anything against the TV Mad Hatter (He's my favorite version of the character, David Wayne with a goofy lisp is golden), but you can't have Batman going to Londinium and not come across Lord Fogg!! On the other hand, it would be awesome if Clock King does show up as well. I've always thought the Walter Slezak version was pretty neat.
