For a second, I misread the title of this article and thought this was the finale to Zero Year and I was all "WHAT?! NO CAPULLO?!" Then I realized my mistake.

Love the art but Capullo is still on this book right? just not this issue??

Looks sweet. I love seeing Snyder not take the easy route and actually create his own characters. And since the arc starts in the fall hopefully we get some good standalone issues in between. Zero Year was great but I can't wait to see Snyder get back to writing the batman of today

Hush?

My first thought.

We can only hope

That would be awwessomeeee.

I'm really loving Batman: Eternal, Zero Year, and Detective Comics right now. It's all so good...my wallet hates me...

I wasn't expecting even a nod to what was happening in Eternal from Detective but I'm glad they did (Bullock mentions how Gordon was arrested in issue 31).

My only issue with Detective is that I think it shouldn't be ONLY Batman who stars in the series, I think other characters could take over for an arc. Someone who fits in with the mystery side of things or even just another Bat-family member. Same with Action Comics but for just other heroes. Obviously primarily focus on Batman and Superman because those are the people who will bring in sales but even if it's just a one-off issue here and there focused on Red Robin or Steel would be cool to see.

Wow, I got way off-topic. Sorry!

I'm pretty sure most of the people that don't like Zero Year don't like to read. No, seriously. They see all those... WORDS... and know it's a herculean task that their diminutive mind just cannot tackle. We all have our problems I suppose, but Zero Year is not one of mine. I'm going to miss it.

Another secret character that has been hiding in Gotham all along under Batman's nose huh?

Sigh.

At least there are only 16 more issues after this and then Hopefully Snyder goes elsewhere.

@batmanonthemoon : It's pretty weak to implicitly insult the intelligence of people who don't like Zero Year.

My first thought.

Mine as well.

Also, I'm not picking up Batman Eternal since it's weekly and I simply can't afford that. I hope it doesn't tie in too much and I'll be lost without reading it.

@g_man: Come on man, what was the point in that. Is this not a site to talk about comics? You aren't scolding the people who didn't like Zero Year, I am not saying others can't enjoy what I don't.

I really hope Snyder and Capullo continue to be the creative team with more great stories. No more crossovers please.

Oh yeah HUSH!

ehh I'll drop this after zero year

I will be doing the opposite actually. Picking it up once again!

That Bats looks a bit like the Noel costume. I was expecting that for Affleck's costume, not Miller's version.

@g_man: The suspense was absolutely killing me. I couldn't take anymore of this "will be keep Batman on his pull list ooorr will he drop it?!" *whew!*' Glad that's resolved!

#46 Posted by MuyJingo (1928 posts) - - Show Bio

@muyjingo: Sorry, didn't mean to insult you. It's a working theory.

No it isn't. It's clearly a veiled insult.

I love dialogue in comics. The more dialogue the better.

I don't like zero year because it's a disaster. It isn't fun and screws with the origin for no reason. There is absolutely no improvement on previous origin stories and quiet a few problems. The take on the Riddler has been the most interesting part, yet I can't wait for it to be over.

if its hush i will buy 10 copies of this.

#48 Posted by 2cool4fun (1384 posts) - - Show Bio

Eh...unless it's Hush I am not interested.

Also wtf, didn't Capullo say he is up for over 50 issues?

#49 Posted by Shaanyboi (67 posts) - - Show Bio

So... wait, is Batman still going? I thought Batman Eternal was going to be the next arc, not a separate book.

So... wait, is Batman still going? I thought Batman Eternal was going to be the next arc, not a separate book.

Of course Batman is still going on. Batman Eternal is a separate title entirely. Batman is a monthly ongoing while Batman Eternal is a 52 Week weekly series.
