I tend to try to avoid the monthly solicits. I know I should be aware of what's coming up but I do enjoy being surprised when I first open the comic. That's not an easy thing to do unfortunately.

Today, DC has released the cover to BATMAN, INCORPORATED #3. Grant Morrison is back on Batman to deal with the Talia/Leviathan story he left off with pre-New 52. But check out who else appears on the cover to issue #3!

Say it with me, "Holy Crap!" I cannot wait to see the return of Matches Malone.

BATMAN, INCORPORATED #1 is on sale May 23 as part of DC's "Second Wave." This issue will go on sale in August.

It looks Cool, but doesn't it seem crazy that it will take that long for the #3 issue of this series to come out.

I'm so happy Morrison's run is the silly alternative I need to the amazing but serious Snyder batman.

Can someone give me the backstory of this guy?

It's a criminal identity Batman uses when he goes undercover. Based on who's telling the story, the original Matches Malone was a criminal who became Batman's informant, only for Batman to take his place when the original Matches died. Others simply have Matches Malone be a persona Bats cooked up to go undercover.

@Mucklefluga: Matches Malone is the identity Bruce Wayne uses to go undercover with criminals.

@Mucklefluga: Malone There's his page here on the vine, so you can have a better idea.

Better than a reheated RIP pulled from the freezer.

Looks good.

@entropy_aegis: I agree completely. NOBODY wants to read a repeat of RIP. Morrison's work on that arc was bad enough the first time.

Thankfully we have Snyder writing some truly original and enjoyable work on Batman. It is a welcome change after years of Morrison's garbage.

Original? haha there is nothing original here, just a halfassed RIP.I will not call it a ripoff, but Court of Owls is just a poor mans version of RIP and you're the NOBODY here because last time I checked lots of people enjoyed it.

Welcome change like what? owls killing bats NOW THAT'S BRILLIANT WRITING.Next up we have snakes killing bats in the cult of the pythons.

This is great morrison run on batman is great. I don't why people hate the idea of the batman myths spreading beyond the borders of Gotham. The owls are lucky they didn't have to face batman inc.
