Or did they tone it down/totally get rid of it?
Still as fanservicey after the reboot?
I think he may be talking about how the writers and illustrators of Fairchild tend to put her in sexy positions to "service" the needs of the fans. I don't know though, I can't read minds.

if that's the question then it's not what it used to be
It was only 3 hours ago, he might be back for his answer (and be able to clarify the question). Give the guy a break.
"I think he may be talking about how the writers and illustrators of Fairchild tend to put her in sexy positions to "service" the needs of the fans. I don't know though, I can't read minds."If that's what he means, then I'd say not as much. Most of the time she has more clothes on, although there are times when she doesn't (like when she was acting like Shanna). In the current run she really shouldn't be. She's got full clothes (long sleeves and pants!) and the art style is too cartoony (in a good way) to really pull off sexy.
"I think he may be talking about how the writers and illustrators of Fairchild tend to put her in sexy positions to "service" the needs of the fans. I don't know though, I can't read minds."That is entirely what I mean, sorry, I thought that was a more widely known term.
And sorry that I wasn't here, I waited for about two hours and didn't get a response, so I figured I wasn't getting a response any time soon and that it was ok if I just came back later since I had to go shopping in another state. Sorry, didn't know this place was so strict on quick replies.
Hopefully I answered your question to your liking. We're not strict on quick replies, some people are just impatient. No one posted in your thread for 3 hours so we really shouldn't expect you to post back the second a question is asked.
I love the reboot, the artwork is great and the whole series captures Fairchild perfectly. Plus she's still shown to be a sexy, smart individual.
this thread was made 3 years agoCheck Superboy #1. Doesn't look like fanservice to me.
The picture from Superboy #3.what the f?
ATTENTION, SPOILER!
Damn, she looked much better in Gen 13!
well. the topic was if Fairchild is still fanservicey in DCnU. I guess, the picture answers the question.
I'm just glad that she's in the reboot....she's easily one of my top 2 favorite female characters
also....I loved the old reboot Gen13....here's hoping that Gail Simone does another Gen13 title soon

I KNOW!!! I FLIPPED OUT!!!!!! sorry but Gen13 was one of my favorite books growing up...it was like the first book that I was able to follow from issue one forward and I loved it so I'm really really hoping that they get a new book in the new 52 and since Gail did such an awesome job with the book after the Wildstorm reboot I'm hoping that she gets a second shot at the title

Why people hating on the new Fairchild? I like it. She actually looks like she could beat down Superboy but they didn't go overboard with the muscle details. She just looks strong She-Hulk style. No waif-fu for once.
This is something thats always bothered me, people who have superstrength as a special super power dont need to be all over muscled. Unless thats the point of their power. What I mean is, Archangel, Storm, & sometimes Rouge can all fly. But the method is different based on their power. Power-Girl doesnt need to be all super muscular & body buildery because as a Kryptonian, she is naturally super strong. While Kingpin is not fat, he is only 285 pounds of pure muscle. Now, maybe Fairchild is supposed to look like a gross bodybuilder freak. I dont know.
But bodybuilders are just gross.

actually, it was reffering o Gail Simone's pre flashpoint Gen 13 reboot
I'm not a fan of taking fanservice females like Lara Croft, Kaitlyn, or Power girl & trying to turn them into serious respectable characters. DC should have just put Power girl & Fairchild together in their own book, slap a Mature rating on it, & just let them go to town on each other & be as degrading as they want as long as their stories are good & people buy it.
