Again don't know if this is a bug, but at least two people recommended one of my reviews, and it only says 1 recommendation, hows this?
Review Recommendations
@johnkmccubbin91: Which review? Looking at your reviews I cant see any that only have 1, and I just recommended one of your reviews and its at 3/3 now.
@ltsquigs: This review: Welcome to the House of Mystery
@johnkmccubbin91: It said 2/2 reviewers had rated it helpful, I rated it helpful and it worked fine (its at 3/3 now). May have been a bug with redis (the thing we store the helpful scores in) temporarily, but it looks like its working now.
@ltsquigs: Yes it's at what I'd expect it to be now, thanks : )
I've recently noticed that one of my reviews Captives has went from having 4 recommendations to just 1.
@johnkmccubbin91: Says 4 here.... might be our redis (where wee store some of this information) stuff bugging up a bit on display.
@ltsquigs: Fair enough, though I still think people recommended since also.
@ltsquigs: I actually noticed that when I edit any reviews that the previous recommendations are lost as I edited a previous review that had a spoiler block, but due to the new review layout it ruined the look so I edited it to remove images, but after editing it removed the recommendations, and this has happened before. Will this be a recurring thing?
@johnkmccubbin91: Hmm that a bug, will add it to our issue list
@ltsquigs: Yeah it's happened a few times. I originally thought it to be a coincidence but it's happened about 4 or 5 times now, and it's a bit annoying as I feel reluctant to correct small mistakes after submitting.
@ltsquigs: Was just wondering if you'd sorted this as it's still doing it whenever I edit anything.
@johnkmccubbin91: No I haven't been able to get to this yet, putting out other fires
@ltsquigs: No problem, was just curious.
@johnkmccubbin91: Ok I don't know when this fix will go out to our production servers (I will post in this forum thread when it is live), but this will be fixed soon.
By design the rating counts reset if you change the score value of the review (to avoid people gaming the system), but a bad if check was causing it to be reset always. When the fix goes out the rating will only reset if you change the score.
@ltsquigs: Thanks, there's no rush, it's just inconvenient if it's a small mistake, as I almost never change the rating, just sometimes if I phrase stuff weirdly and want to change it so it makes sense. Thanks anyway : )
