People Getting Banned

If it did then I probably would've been banned as well (for making lots of tags). Hopefully this'll be fixed before your next blog.

Though I am no mod, and I cannot say this for sure.

@pikahyper, could you please clarify as to whether the 4 link rule would or wouldn't include tags?

I don't know for sure but I don't think it is attacking callouts/replies because I've been seeing people do more then five without being banned in this thread already.

@mysticmedivh: 3 of 4 of those are unbanned, one of them is banned by request so separate thing.

Until it is done don't post more then five links and images total in a single post.

Not 100% sure, But I think sedna_goddess might also be banned.

This stupid banning bug is still going on? I'm beginning to feel annoyed about how CV is experiencing one bug after another at this rate, it's hardly encouraging that some overexposure of links and images is triggering it.

@lvenger: generally yes, more people are on vacation around the holidays, that means an increase in users on sites which degrades the performance of the site which can cause things to break or glitch. Spam increases for the same reasons standard advertising increases during the holidays, they can get more clicks and people have more money to spend so bad spam also increases so that identity theft and credit card theft can increase during the holidays as well.

@pikahyper: would not be wise to have a temp stick thread about the glicth and posting issues? It would avoid so many questions about the same problem. I mean, in most popular forums at least..

@pikahyper: Is there a way to undelete/fix the blogs that have been affected by this banning glitch with the bots? (Because all of the blogs in my about me page now have the 404: Not Found screen).

Come on people read the OP, that's why it keeps being updated. I don't need to be called out I'm checking this thread regularly.

I might just not post at all until this is fixed (however long that will take).

Im still unsure how a "bug" like this could get so bad on the holidays, I am actually impressed with the chaos, especially in battle forums right now. Where posting links and scans is the norm for major debates. Then add in all the innocent bystanders who get ban for being in a ban thread! The implications... wow.

Thanks for unbanning me, and I'm sorry you guys (the staff, engineers and moderators) have to deal with this issue right around the holidays. I do hope you guys are able to have a good Thanksgiving.

Not sure if there is a queue for the process of having your content undeleted or anything, but in any case my posts/blogs were all deleted.. I'd primarily just like all of my respect threads (which were mostly made as blogs) undeleted, and any non-blog respect threads that I linked in my blog organizer. I understand this will take time and the holidays are coming up so there's no rush... just hoping eventually they are restored.

@pikahyper: That's an understandable explanation and I appreciate you taking the time to explain that to me. Unfortunately, the severity of this bug is going to cause a lot of problems for you and the bug admin staff, there's already a building queue of users who want their posts, blog, fan fics or respect threads back. So this really could not have come at a worse time.

The blogs got flooded with filthy, disgusting, low-life spammers. I had to set Terminator's sensitivity really high and let it loose on every blog last night. There were way too many to go over one by one. Now that the carnage is over I looked around and the dead bodies and reanimated the innocent which was much easier though I was surprised by the body count.
