Not getting Notifs... Again.

I am not getting notifications, at all. I know there was people fixing that, and I thought when I had 20 notifs roll in by yesterday (I think) that was end of story. Is it still going on? I also can't see old notifs.

@rorie: I believe notifications aren't working for just about every one again. I've talked to dozens of users who're having the same issues that first happened after the update. I had 101 notifications roll in yesterday, and then they seemed fine. But today, they stopped working again.

@rorie: Very interesting. I just figured it was already a known issue, what with all the friends and other users I've heard from who are having the same issues and stuff. Glad it's been made aware now though. ^_^

I'm not getting notifications. What's interesting is that my entire notification history is empty. So I don't have past notifs either.

@jedixman: I've heard a couple users say that as well. I'm not having that issue myself, just not receiving any new ones. Really weird.

I don't think people's settings are being read correctly, there is no option to turn on notifications for when a user PM's (which I prefer) you just get an email option but I just received a notification for a PM at the same time that I got the PM o.o?

@pikahyper: Yeah, that's definitely a bug and I've filed it. Trying to get people to look into notifications overall and see what the issue is.

I think I may be having the same problem too as I've had to check back on posts rather than get notifications. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but whenever I try to disable all messages by email (don't ask why) as soon as I click the save button the settings return to their original state.

It appears that having both email notifications and site notifications turned on in the same category will prevent the notifications from being sent out. If you want to help test this, try turning off email notifications if you have them on and see if you start getting site notifications. We'll test it on our end as well, of course, and see if we can get them all going out properly.

I just checked my settings and I am still not getting any, it says "no new notifications" even though I saw that someone had replied to one of my comments.
