Delayed and Deleted Posts

I just had this problem on the thread What's the Best Flavor of Icecream? and though when I went back to page 1 of Off Topic it said I had posted 22 seconds ago, I saw that my post wasn't there. I don't know if it's being delayed which is what my friend told me happened, or if it was deleted all together.

And seven minutes later it appeared.
